I bought this styling tool for my daughter who has long super thick black hair. It's extremely difficult to style and she prefers the straight look. Her hair also takes hours to fully dry. She started using this product and loves it. She (we) can't live without it. It can be used safely on wet hair. It will iron it out and leave it flat and silky. Great for teens who are learning how to use an iron. One design issue is the power +/- button can easily be pressed while using it even if don't intend to adjust it.
