Repair Service —
Another company who has delegated their customer service overseas. Rep actually laughed when he determined it was going to take two weeks for a part to be installed.
When my washer broke Sears was fairly quick to get a repair man here - just a day or two. Bu then I waited "8AM to 5PM" for repairman to show - took time off to sit at home. Repairman did NOT show until AFTER 5. When I quieried him about the time he told me "he knew I'd be the last call since it was only a few miles from his home!" I wasted an entire day waiting on someone who KNEW he wouldn't be there and did not have the courtesy to call and let me know that.
At that point in the day, he no longer had necessary part (a relay switch) on his truck and it had to be ordered. Once it arrived, customer service told me it would take 2 weeks until a repairman could show up to install it (a five min. job = at best) and the man I was speaking to overseas though this was really funny. When I asked to speak to someone in the United States he told me he could not do this, nor would he get his supervisor.
Repair man had given me his cell number to call him (he told us, he'd stop by on his way home), but in two days, he has never once, answered the phone.
All of my appliances when I built this house were from Sears - I WILL NEVER, NEVER, EVER buy another Sears appliance and have spent most of the day telling my friends not to buy from there either.
