I love having the maintenance protection agreement on all my appliances.   I call the 1-800 #, schedule an appointment and usually they arrive the next day and my appliance is up and working that day.  I always recommend Sears appliances and service to all my friends.

I am very upset with Sears repair service. I have a garbage disposal that is only a few months old and is leaking profusely. My husband contacted Sears about their warranty, and they said they would send someone out to either fix or replace the disposal - easy, right? The first day I took off work...

Sears Warranty

I got an 8-12pm appt. on April 12. Received a call from Sears computer saying the tech was running late. I called at 1:30pm after still a no show and they said a tech. would be there by 2:30pm. No show. Called again. Told the tech. would be there by 4pm. No show. They said they had no direct contact with the tech. and would send him a message. I asked to speak to a supvr. and was told her name and we accidentally got disconnected. I called back and asked to speak to the name of the supvr. given to me, and it was a false name! I asked to reschedule for the following morning and I requested...

I have an 8 year old Kenmore front load washing machine that recently began making loud banging noises during the final spin cycle.  I called Sears Home Services thinking $129 was reasonable for labor on the repair.  The technician was scheduled to arrive between 10am and 2pm.  He arrived at 3:10pm.  He diagnosed the problem based entirely on the same description I entered when I created the appointment.  The estimate for the repair was $388.  I declined, since the washer is not worth that much.  Therefore I'm stuck with a $129 bill for a visit that lasted 5 minutes, wasted half of my day,...

I am an engineer and VERY mechanically inclined.  My 7 year old front load washer (Kenmore) started to shake violently during the final spin cycle.  I took the machine apart, diagnosed that the main tub bearing is bad.  I decided not to try to take it apart because I might damage the pulley or other parts as it seems that the bearing is pressed in place.  So I scheduled an appointment online; easy to use website; very nice.  More good news is that they don’t charge the $129 until they actually arrive; I assumed they would charge it as soon as I hit “accept”.  This is where the good...

Use anybody else.

When both my washer and dryer went up simultaneously, I tried to call the 800 number to schedule an appointment.  Since I needed to make an appointment for two appliances I couldn't online, or in the phone menu.  It takes five minutes to get through the menu and be put on hold, then nobody every picks up.  Nobody ever answers the Chat Online thing either.

So, I made an appointment online for one appliance, and wrote in the notes that I also needed the second one repaired.  Foolishly remembering the Sears of my youth that sold great products and gave great service, assuming a second repair would...

I tried calling 1-800-4-MYHOME to schedule repair service on a Kenmore washing machine.  My local yellow pages has a large ad for Sears appliance repair which says they offer Saturday and evening appointments as well as weekdays in 4-hour windows.  I spoke with two different operators over the phone and was told each time that in my area they only offer Monday, Wednesday, and Friday appointments from 9-5 in 8-hour windows.  I can arrange to be at home to meet a repairman on most Tuesdays and Thursdays, but given my work schedule it's not at all possible on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and...

Another company who has delegated their customer service overseas. Rep actually laughed when he determined it was going to take two weeks for a part to be installed. When my washer broke Sears was fairly quick to get a repair man here - just a day or two. Bu then I waited "8AM to 5PM" for repairman to show - took time off to sit at home. Repairman did NOT show until AFTER 5. When I quieried him about the time he told me "he knew I'd be the last call since it was only a few miles from his home!" I wasted an entire day waiting on someone who KNEW he wouldn't be there and did not have the... read full review »

These guys really did the job.  Was on time, efficient and did everything as promised.  Great manners and very forthright about charges.  Very helpful.

My 5 year old Whirpool refrigerator stopped working. I had to wait 4 days for them to come out and repair it. The repair man came yesterday he was very nice and appeared to solve the problem. I bought groceries to stock my refrigerator and this morning again my refrigerator is out. All Sears had to offer was, "We can come out in 5 days", when I told them this was unacceptable since they should have fixed my refrigerator yesterday the supervisor said "have a nice day" and hung up.

I have bought all my appliances at Sears and was planning to buy my dishwasher there as well, but now that I know that...

My Coleman Powerwasher would not start.  I took the plug out and confirmed that it had spark.  I took it to the Sears Repair and they kept it for about 3 weeks.  They called and said the unit was ready for pickup.  When I arrived, I was told that they could not fix the machine because of no parts.  They said it had a bad ignition flywheel, magnito coil, and carburator.  Since it had spark, I can't imagine that a flywheel and magnito were required and then to say they couldn't find the parts for a Coleman?  I have lost faith in this repair service.

Sears came through for me in a dryer repair, but not without a lot of work and frustration on my part - and not until corporate management was involved. I was very satisfied with the final outcome, and know that Sears welcomed this feedback so that they can provide optimum service to their customers.

I own a Maytag dryer that is six years old and it stopped heating. SInce Sears is known as the gold standard of all brand service, I called them and the repairman came in a few days. The dryer could not be immediately fixed, he thought, and he had to order a part, which would take three to five business...

I have purchased all major appliances from Sears for years and along with the purchase I have always covered the appliances for maintenance and repair.  Although a little expensive I always believed that you get what you pay for.  WRONG!  After several years of adding appliances to he repair service protection plan I finally had to use them.  What a horrorible experiience that has been.  The washing machine died on May 1st and their first available appointment was May 13th.  They apologized, and I spent two Saturdays in the laundromat.  At first the appointment stated 9am-1pm on their automated...

I have been waiting for nearly 3 weeks for parts for my TV to come in after the repairman had been out to determine that my 2.5 month old 50" HDTV had to have a panel replacement. Well, the panel came in and the technician called to set up an appointment. He said he would schedule it for Friday afternoon and would make my appointment the last one of the day so that I would be able to help him with gettin the TV back on the wall after the repair. I got a call left on my answering machine this morning (Friday) while I was in a meeting at work saying they were ready to come work on my TV. I tried... read full review »

I called yesterday to schedule an appt to diagnose/repair our 7-yr old refrigerator (GE, bought at Sears).  I only understood every other sentence of the CSR due to bad telecom and their even worse English.  The tech showed up this morning and asked "did they tell you to be sure to leave the unit on (even though not working) for 24-hours?".  NO!!!  You wasted my morning and $149 to tell me nothing but "give us another call".  Three strikes against your outsourcing to Bangalore...
