LockedMower Deck Belts

I mow 2 acres of lawn using 42" and 50" lawn tractors. I have found that the mower deck on the 50" mower breaks belts 3 times more often than the 42". Does anyone experience similar breaks? I have tried using the belt spray treatments. I sometimes wonder if it has something to do  with the pulley system or ???? Any ideas would be helpful. Also, as a result the belts that I use are seldom in stock at sears stores. When they are...they want $25-30 for them. Has anyone found good quality belts for less?  Thank you for your input.

the 50" deck has 3 blades and the belt is under more strain from going around the center blade with tight turns compared to the 2 bladed 42" deck

also I wont have a three bladed mower deck  mainly because of this, they make a 2 bladed 46" deck now

I think my 46" deck mower has the two blades.

I get to use my tractor lifter, after Xmas to find out, for sure.
