Never buy a tire without buying road hazard-u will b sorry!!

Road Hazard Plus Agreement —

I recently purchased four new tires and of course, the road hazard warranty along with them.  Since then I had to have one tire fixed because our next door neighbor put on a new roof and one of the roofing nails ended up in my tire and yesterday I hit a brick that was laying at the end of my driveway.  Needless to say, my tire was busted.  I took the tire back to the Sears automotive department today and they replaced my tire, rotated all my tires, and gave me a 24 point inspection for less than $12.00.  A new tire for less than $12.00.  The $10.00 warranty saved me approximately $140.00!  So, moral of my review, never buy a new tire without the road hazard warranty!

^^^sears, is that you?^^^ I blew my tire out when running into a curb and with road hazard protection, It cost me $63 (after tax) to replace a $109 tire I bought the tire 9 months ago and it had a tread depth of 8/32. It's doubtful I will purchase roadside hazard protection again.

I agree with Teddy, though I'm glad Ed had such a good experience. I was told that the Road Hazard Warranty "came with the tire"--which said to me it was included in the tire price. When I discovered it was an option, I was furious, because the customer needs to be asked, specifically, if they want an extended warranty, and I wasn't asked or given the option to refuse. Nor did anyone tell me what it covered. When I went back to ask for a refund, they gave it to me, but no one said, at any point, that it would cover the full price of a new tire.

I'm going to find another place to buy tires before I need the next one.

Funny, I purchased 4 new tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and I always get Road Hazzard Warrenty. When I purchased the tires I asked about the warrenty and was told that it came with every tire that Sears sold. Months later I had a major blowout driving down a dark road and went to Sears the next day to get my tire replaced. The man at the counter looked up my account and told me that I did not have road hazzard on my tires because I did not purchase it. The man then said excuse me and answered the phone and said yes mam, yes mam. That warrenty is included with every tire Sears sells. It is 10% of the cost of every tire. He later hung up the phone and I said to him, That is exactly what was told to me when I purchased my tires, now your telling me that it is something I have top purchase seperate. He said, well thats not what I meant, what I meant was it cost 10% extra for each tire you purchase. I told him, thats not what you said, you said it was included. I then walked out of the store. I will never agaih buy tires from Sears. Wow!

I did buy the “New Sears tire installation package” for each tire. It listed for $ 14.99 for
- mounting, life of the tire balancing, valve stem, road hazard warranty, life of the tire rotations.

Unfortunately for me the road hazard was only for the 30 days and you had to buy an additional “real” road hazard like the one everyone else sells (life of tire) for $ 13 more. The advertising of the package above is so misleading. I have never seen a Road hazard warranty that was just for 30 days!!!

Really? I bought the road hazard agreement too in Staten Island, and Every time a tire goes flat, which happened right after purchase, they charged me each time over 100.00 for a tire!! I am now asking for a refund --but who needs this hassle?? They do not cover what they say or they try to charge you unless you fight them on it....TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
