I saw this item at Sears and thought I would save a lot of time at home and office with a Roomba. I do when it works. I have had mine for about 3 years now. This is the most awesome product that I have ever purchased!!! Well worth every penny and then some. I just hit a button on the remote and tell it to start and it cleans every surface it can reach and when it's done, it puts itself back on its charger. It doesn't complain or moan or put it off til later like my kids. It is so refreshing to have my house clean every single day. The kids love the fact that they don't have to swift or vacuum anymore, so they are trying extra hard not to leave stuff on the floor anymore. I swear this product has changed my life for the better. ROOMBA DISCOVER VAC CLEANER

With new technology, and very busy schedules this is a dream come true. I have been researching robotic vac, however, I was very skeptical. After thorough researching, I returned to my local store and was fortunate enough to test the "Roomba". I was very impressed and could not believe how easy it is to program. Most impressive was that I did not have to walk the vac, and would be able to perform other tasks, while my carpets were being cleaned. I love my Roomba! I have a very large hairy dog and use to vacuum everyday the moment I got home from work. I can not stand to see hair all over my area rugs and hardwood floor. I now have a baby, so getting the floor vacuumed everyday has become a much bigger challenge but even more necessary. Roomba to the rescue! I purchased the scheduler to go along with Roomba, I have it set to clean just before we get home at the end of the day. Now when I get home the floor is clean and my baby can crawl where ever he wants without getting covered in hair or tempted to eat any little crumb off the floor.... review »

I purchased the Roomba due to being scheduled for surgery in early June. I knew that I would not be able to operate a regular vacuum for about 6 to 8 weeks post-op., and wise enough to also know that my husband and son would be less-than-thrilled with the prospect of doing the vacuuming for me during that time! Although the almost $300 price tag caused some hesitation with my decision, I ultimately concluded that the Roomba would be "worth its weight in gold" if it performed in the way in which I expected from an appliance priced at several hundreds of dollars! I love my new Roomba! This is a fantastic product to use daily. I will be honest and tell you that , as an allergy sufferer, I would never give up my upright vac because it can do a faster and equivallent job. However, using the Roomba daily has cut down on my need to dust and what a blessing that is. I love the fact that it can go places (like under the bed) where my upright can't typically go. My dog hates that under the bed is clean and doesn't smell like her now. You will still have to baby this machine and take good care of it by cleaning it after 1 to 2 uses. I am so pleased with my roomba. It does a great job cleaning up after my family especially in the kitchen and dining room. It is easy to use and I can just set it and forget it. It cleans the rug under the table and then goes to the kitchen and picks up all the crumbs that our little dog Missie does not get first. Also it does a great job in the bedroom. No more dust bunnies under the bed. I couldn't believe how much dust I had accumulated under the bed until I got the romba out and set it to work. My children like to use it in their bedrooms. Such a hardy little robot.

I love my Roomba. We have 2 cats and labrador. With all three of them we have pet hair everywhere!! This vacuum is a wonderful additition to the family. It doesn't seem to have any trouble getting around the house, regardless of what kind of floor it's on (various heights of carpet, hard wood or tile). And you can see marks in the carpet after it has vacuumed. I would never throw away my upright vacuum, because I believe it may work a little bit better than the Roomba, but I am not a big fan of vacuuming so being able to turn on the Roomba and focus my attention on something else is great. We call her "Rosie" from the jetsons (their robot maid). She Vacums without us having to worry about it, it was one of those household chores that my wife hated to do, along with mopping, So we purchased a irobot Scooba from sears also. Both are doing great. The only problem in a years time was the little side brush came off. The company sent us another one. We haven't settled on a name for the scooba yet. Sometimes we call it "Max" from the jetsons (the maintenance mans robot), sometimes scooby. I gave it a 4 on performance because if you were to vacum yourself you would probably do a better... review »

I have always been really lazy about vacumning, and had a vacumn that was too hard to use. Attachements would fall off, it was bulky and didn't get under too much. This is great. My house has never been cleaner. We put in hardwood floors and everyone said I needed to keep them clean, so I decided to to try this. It's so easy. You do have to pick up throw rugs and move around some furniture that's too low of course and make sure cords aren't in it's way, but I think it's the best thing I've ever bought. My husband thinks its great too, and is going to buy one for his mom for her birthday.

I don't know how I ever went thru life without my Roomba lady. She goes all over the house. I have 2 boys 5 & 8 along with my 2 two dogs. But she (Roomba) goes all over & even leaves the sweaper marks on the carpet. It really does a good job the dogs don't like it sometimes. It gets under the beds, the end tables, coffe table & around the edge of the kitchen. I do baby the roomba by making sure it's cleaned after each use & every week or two my husband cleans it with air to get all the dust out. I would definity buy another if anything ever happened to her...

I love this Roomba! i have a Golden Retriever and have had to sweep my hardwood and tile everyday because of the shedding! Now I just turn on my Roomba and let it go! Saves me alot of time!! You do need to make sure everything is picked up off the floor including any rugs with the fringe on the edges. It does a wonderful job on hardwood and tile. It also does a great job on carpet!! I would definately recommend this product if you are thinking about it!! I got mine at a REALLY good price but I don't know if I would pay $300 for it? Try one I think you'll like it!!

I'm Roomba's biggest fan! I have hardwood floors and tile-no carpet. It's noisy so I run it each morning as we are getting ready for the day. The floors are clean before we leave and the floors remain dust free. You have to empty it after each use and break it down, to clean the brushes, once a week-but this is easy to do. I have allergies and a long hair dog. I couldn't live without it. Only issue is it sometimes dies in the middle of the room instead of going back to homebase when the battery is dead. I called the company and was told this will sometimes happen.

Roomba Really Works

The technology has been around for a while, and Roomba has done a great job of leading the market. I own an original "red" Roomba, but upgraded to the Discovery model for all the extra features and accessories. I am pleased with the MAX setting which does a great job of cleaning hard surfaces and preserving battery life. Also, the included rapid-charger is a great help. It has become a common practice to launch the Roomba 15 minutes or so before company comes over to give our carpet that fresh, clean look! Highly recommended!
