Fails to heat

As stated in other reviews, the iron will not heat. After about 15 months use, it is ready for the garbage heap. The yellow stand by light flashes slowly, but the iron will not leave standby mode. I suspect the problem is with an electronic module in the iron, which could be easily replaced if it was available. It is a pity that Rowenta chooses to not support its customers.

poor

The iron worked great the first few uses. Then it would not heat up. I read in the manuel that the unit needed work or replaced. I went back to the store and they replaced it. Now, it happen again and it has been 13 months since the original purchase and now I am out $130.00. I was told this was the best iron on the market and for the cost I thought it would be. Also, the cord is only 8ft. long and you can't use an extension cord. That is not enough cord to be even further that 2 ft away from the outlet and still be able to iron. I am having trouble getting in contact with Rowenta as well.

Rowenta Advancer Model # DZ9080

It reaches the set temperature fairly quickly and "recovers" pretty quick from the "idle" mode. The burst of steam is great for pants creases.

Rowenta Iron

Auto Shut off swith stopped working after 14 months, 36 uses, will not turn on. Rowenta web page "Contact Us" has been disabled. Thier customer service does not have an 800 number and puts you on auto hold until you give up...I did it twice for 15 minutes. Same happened with their recommeded service companies. Called a local service company and they stated they are throw aways..they are having alot of failures and not repairable.
