“not happy”

I received this for Christmas in 07 and thought it was wonderful. It was only used by me, maybe once a day. The on/off switch broke a year later, right after the warranty. “BUY SOMETHING ELSE THAT DOSENT BREAK EVERY FEW MONTHS!!!!”

 

My wife bought this product 2 years ago. Within 8 months the on/off switch went out. She contacted Sears but was informed that they could not help her and told her to contact the manufacture. She did, and was informed that she was going to have to pay for shipping and handling BOTH WAYS (about the cost of the steamer when she first purchased it!). Against her better judgment, she sent it off to be fixed and about 2 months later Rowenta sent her back the steamer. It worked for about 7 months this time until it broke again with the SAME PROBLEM!

“We love it...”

We purchased this steamer to use to get wrinkles out of tables cloths for our small party rental business here in Bastrop, Tx. It worked okay for that purpose... But since it was here... we started using it for our everyday use, to steam my husband's work shirts... and our little girls cloths. Our iron- which I hate doing... rarely gets to show its face anymore. It does a great job. We recommend it all the time, especially for Mom's looking for something to get wrinkles out of intricate baby/toddler clothing. I will never be without one again, that's for sure. “Rowenta model# IS8100”

This garment steamer is well built and does an excellent job. Gets most wrinkles out in seconds. Easy to set up. A super way to freshen up clothes that were folded or wrinkled coming out of the dryer.

“Love it!!!!”

This is the best full size steamer I have ever used! I have used steamers in the past that the pole was so off balanced that a light garment would make the pole lean. I have yet to find a garment that made this pole lean! I had read many reviews before choosing this steamer. I am so satisfied and glad I spent a little extra! I do agree that the smell of the hose is pretty bad the first few times. I bought 2 of this product and a Conair travel steamer at the same time. Trust me when I say Rowenta for home and Conair travel for when you are away from home. You will not be disappointed!!

“Im'Pressed'”

I was initially concerned that all garment steamers would be as unstable and useless as the Tobi I purchased online. My wife convinced me to buy this one as a replacement, and it has turned out to be one of our finer buys. Spend the extra money and give this one a shot if you have been disappointed with the infomercial brands. This is truly a better value, and a great machine. We have used it for several months now and have 0 complaints. The initial smell of steam running through the new hose was alarming at first, but it subsided after a few minutes.
