Being a custom quilter, the setting I use most often on any iron is a COTTON setting with Steam. I expect the iron to quickly heat up to the proper setting and produce an abundance of steam.  The Rowenta Professional does just that! I've come to expect the features it has, auto-shut off is just...

I decided to switch from my normal brand of irons and try the Rowenta Professional. I purchased the Rowenta Professional iron about 2 years ago thinking that it would be a good investment. I have since changed my mine about this product. I don't know if I am the only one that this happens to, but almost... read full review »

good one

Posted on Oct 01, 2010

I just bought my second Rowenta Iron.  The first one, I bought several years ago and loved it, until my son let it drop to the floor.  I decided to buy another one and am very pleased with it.  They heat very good, slide easily and produces a lot of steam.  My white blouses (work uniform) look like they came from the Laundry.  These irons are quite expensive but worth each penny.  All other brands used before didn't last for more than two or three months.

This is a nice iron for the price.  The time had arrived for me to replace my 20 year old iron.  i chose this model and it is working well for me.

Rolls Royce Iron! :)

This iron says "Professional" on it, but that's more of a prestigous play on words than a true to life description. A real professional iron does not shut off automatically. And professionals don't like the auto shut off feature that so many of us have come accustomed to and desire.

Performance: This iron removes wrinkles in a flash, is a steam powerhouse and heats up and cools down quickly. It glides effortlessly over fabrics and removes wrinkles in a single pass. It steams so well, that it doesn’t seem to need the burst of steam feature, however it does have this feature. And you may not need...

I love the burst of steam from the Rowenta iron. Have used mine now for 10 years with no complaints. It's also very sturdy as it's been knocked off the iron on many occasions with no damage.

Perfect iron

I have had this Rowenta iron for years-does a terrific job getting the wrinkles out.  Light, and easy to manuever.  Heats up quickly!

The best iron in the world

I have purchased 3 different models of Rowenta Steam Irons in the past.  They started out
working great, but each one of them lost their spray power and steam.  These aren't cheap irons and I expected them to last for years & years.  I've decied to buy less expensive irons that have the same features and will last the same amount of time.

I have purchased two Rowenta irons at the prompting of my daughter.  The last one that I bought with the retractable cord is the one I'm upset with.  After about a year of use the retractable cord mechanism quit working and my husband, who can fix anything, says he can't get into it to fix it.

The Rowenta Professional iron has been a wonderful appliance. It heats quickly and the powerful steam burst works incredibly well after 4 years in my possession.  I do a lot of ironing weekly and truly enjoy the task because my Rownta makes it easy.

I love the auto shut off if I have forgtten to unplug.  The auto clean feature removes deposits from the iron.  I also like the power steam function for steaming clothes.

It is a must have in any home.

This is a real good iron.  It heats up quick.  My wife and I hate ironing but this thing at least makes the job tolerable.  Thius is built much better then the cheap ones.  It is worth the higher cost because it lasts.

I do alot of sewing and I find that the Rowenta works the best with all the different materials I use. It presses for quilts great. Lite and easy to handle even with the water in it.
