Best Vacation I Have Ever Taken!!!

Royal Caribbean - Mariner of the Seas cozumel, grand caymen and jamaica —

In August, 2007 I took the best vacation I have ever been on.  I boarded the majestic Royald Caribbean Mariner of the Seas with ports of call in Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico.  The ship was magnificent.  The entertainment staff was wonderful.  The facilities were so enjoyable.  Most enjoyable for me - as a single traveler without children - but traveling with other family members with children - I absolutely loved the adult section on the ship.  You didn't feel like you had to be around all of the children jumping in the pools, etc.  The adults only area was decorated as if your were in ancient Rome - with columns, lushly covered loungechairs, grand stairs down in to the pool, beautiful tiled showers where you could rinse after bathing in the salt water pools, amazing and I do mean amazing hot tubs that accomodated more than enough people with room to spare.

Although I had small accomodations (I am a frequent cruiser and know that I am rarely in my room), I chose an inside cabin with two lower beds and two upper berths.  The room had plenty of space for 3 larger adults.  We didn't feel like we were bumping into each other all the time.  Our proximity to the promenade was fabulous.  Our cabin was by the computer room, which had richly covered leather chairs to relax in, either to read a book or gaze out to the magnificent promenade with its decor that kept you staring.

The food, did I mention the food!!!  It was devine.  Our server, she was adorable.  Our assistant server - remembering which people like what drinks, and that my Mom loved a glass of Merlot with dinner - that to me is amazing.  How do they remember???  Knowing that everyone at our table liked the cheddar/garlic mashed potatoes - and making sure we got extra helpings!

The grandness of the ship allowed you to walk the entire circumference of the ship and doing so helped me feel like I didn't gain much weight by eating the entire buffet daily!  Just by walking off my meals each night - I felt better about indulging.

I cannot say enough about Royal Caribbean and honestly would not cruise with anyone else ever again (except perhaps Celebrity which is part of R.C.).  I have cruised with Norwegian Free Style and it was the worst cruise I have ever taken!
