when i saw this movie i thought that i wouldn't like it. i can tell you that i was really wrong. it's a really great movie.
Really, it's bad enough that we have to waste 2 hours on this, but then to get the corny ending really made things worse. ugh, not happy.
They have started to play Rudy on t.v. a lot lately and every time I catch it on I end up watching it again but I never get tired of it. It's such a great underdog story and as a former teacher has so many life lessons intermixed throughout that young or old you could learn and be inspired from. Some of which include never giving up, challenging yourself to something those around you thought impossible. Really living out a dream when it seems like you have little but you have so much. Great movie and a must have for any movie collector that loves the classics,this one never gets old no matter how many times you watch it.
Rudy is absolutely one of those must own movies about the postive attibutes of continuing to fight for what you want even against all odds.
Rudy comes from a town dominated by the steel mill which employs his father and brothers and everyone he knows. His father is bred to be a Notre Dame football fan and it runs deep not only in his blood but in his offspring as well.

read full review »This is a great movie. Rudi has a ton of heart and this is the story of him being determined to play football for Notre Dame.
This movie really gives one inspiration that they can overcome any obstaclle. Watching Rudy triumph over all the obstacles he encounters really gives one an inspirational tounch in life. I enjoyed the great performances and the real life story presented and wish the priinciples would film another great story.
