I bought this tool to assist with installing hardwood floors in my home. I came to use it for so much more on everday projects.
It is an excellent tool.
I searched the Kmart Store for just the right gift. I found a gold chain that I thought would be an ok gift. Then I went to the sears section of the store and they had a sale on the compound miter saw. I was so excited I took the necklace back to jewlry and bought the saw. Now I am having a really hard time not giving it to him before Christmas.
I've been using the Ryobi 10 inch miter saw regularly since 2003. Up till then i had no experience with Ryobi...Ryobi i was clueless. I was adding a room to house and thought a miter saw might be useful. Although i had a sears 10 radial arm saw, i surmized a miter saw might be time saving for framing and could save me the effort of carrying lumber up and down the stair everytime i needed to make a cut. I was impressed from the get go with the efficiency of using miter saw and the performance of the Ryobi. The saw has alway been precise, never required any adjustment or attention of any kind. As...

bought this when we were installing a hardwood floor. easy to use, plenty of features, and it cuts like a champ. wish the extensions were a bit longer/sturdier.
