The plastic panels in this gate discourage climbing - a great thing, since my daughter started climbing at the tender age of 8 months. It adjusts to fit many different openings and the rubber feet on the sides stay put. I love it.
So far, this gate works really well for us. My 2 year old can't climb it from the front. It's a little too wide (front to back, not side to side) to fit at the bottom of the steps, so I have to put it on the first step up. It's really easy to use too. I'm tempted to buy another one for grandma's house!
I hate this gates. It was just money wasting. I can't make it work. Every time I put it in a door space I'm unable to fix it.
The gates are unstable. The gates can hurt the baby cuz they are not stable. And they are heavy too. So if my baby touch it they can fall and hurt her.
This gate is extra nice because it can either be a pressure mount or hardware mount. When it is hardware mounted it is a swing gate. If you hardware mount it and you want the gate off you just take it off, we did but left the hardware on the wall for when we need to put the gate back on. It's a nice looking gate and seems to blend in with everything around it. It seemd a little complicated at first, but after opening and shutting it a few times it was easy. I only gave it four stars because I don't know how anybody could open the gate or shut it while hanging onto a baby, I never mastered it. We...

I really like this gate with one little problem. the bracket broke when my son put the gate up. My neighbor even liked it and tried to find it but couldn't. Yes i would and i have recommended ti to others.
We had to return two gates for the plastic side parts breaking within the first use. I also find it very difficult to secure the gates in place well enough to support our puppy jumping on the gate or me bumping into it. My husband likes them.
We use this gate at the bottom of our stairs where the wall is uneven b/c of the wrought iron railing and the molding and it is secure enough to prevent our toddler from climbing the stairs. We tried several other gates and none of them were secure enough to make us feel comfortable. I highly recommend this gate.
This is truly a fabulous gate. I use it for my pets who are climbers. This gate completely stops that. It is also VERY easy to use and can even be used on handed! I love how you don't have to adjust it every time you use it like most wooden gates. It's perfect!
