1st off, check your prices, I paid $1817 from Sears, and haven't found anything even close before or since. Before buying this refrigerator, I researched it in ****************, and also checked the user reviews from Sears and many other retailers, and the Samsung website as well. I had narrowed my choice down between this one, the 28 CF 4 door Samsung, and the LG 28 CF 3 door. We had a 27 CF side by side Maytag which was very spacious, but had seen better days. I purchased it online, and the process was very easy. After purchase, they give you a time frame, and then call you to schedule...
read full review »We haven't had the refrigerator long, but so far we really like it. I love the French doors - and the capacity is great. I'm trying to figure out the best way to configure the shelves - but I'll get it. I really like it and pray it lasts a very long time!
Thanks!
The Samsung 29 cu ft French Door Refrigerator is everything I expected and more.
I had a side-by-side and would recommend it for inclusion in a list for the worst design of the 20th Century, but the Samsung French Door style is wonderful for its room, convenient bins, lighting and quiet operation. I have had it less than a month but am impressed by the amount of fresh vegitables and fruit it can handle and how well it keep them fresh. The large deli drawer, with it's ability to set verying temperatures, is a bonus I did not even notice until I started arranging deli and other sandwich making...
read full review »I purchased this refrigerator in September and just love it! I can easily organize everything and this is important with the large capacity. Everything is at eye level and the components inside like shelves and bins are quite sturdy. The twin cooling is really a plus...no more frozen lettuce in the crispers and my produce stays fresh longer than in my last refrigerator. I am also please with the easy to read controls which are not complicated to use. This refrigerator is wonderful!
I was skeptical and read all the reviews. I bought it anyway, a little worried. Got a great price at Sears (install scratched it though). It is a wonderful fridge. I love it and have not had any trouble. This has the same footprint as the smaller model and works beautifully. The ice noise was surprising but really is not a bother. I was dismayed to find that you can turn the fridge off from the outside - which some wonderful children did at my son's b-day party. The freezer drawer (like my granny had back in the day) works so much better the top freezers and the extra drawer is...
read full review »This fridge has great space and easy to use bottom freezer, however, we have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. The ice bucket auger has rusted out three times. We've had multiple people from Sears and Samsung out to repair it, but the problem is still not fixed (bought in March 2009and is now November 2009). Samsung had finally offered to exchange the unit, however, we were told Sears did not participate in their exchange program. Follow up calls to Sears have been unsuccessful, but Samsung has offered us a refund on the purchase price, however, we must cut the cord on the fridge...
read full review »I got this fridge (along with 5 other appliances from Sears) a week ago. We haven't been able to use the ice at all. Any foods without a glass jar and lid now taste like plastic, including bagels, fruits and vegs, butter, cheese, etc. Calling the 800 number is SOOOO frustrating...with lame solutions like emptying the fridge, and putting crinkled newspaper in it for 3 days. DUH! OR I could purchase 'smell be gone' from them. Right! like I wanted to spend another dollar there. I ended up putting several boxes of baking soda in bowls in the fridge and freezer and that helped, but...
read full review »Absolutely LOVE this fridge! Bought in Dec 2008, and I still love it. I have had ZERO issues/repairs. It's beautifully quiet. It makes plenty of ice. Ice and water taste great (and I've got REALLY hard water). I'm trying hard to think of a con and I just can't! If you are on the fence about getting this HUGE 29 cf fridge vs. a 23-25 cf fridge - the extra space is well worth the upgrade. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to have plenty of space, a place for everything and everything in it's place. Even my husband keeps things organized and puts things back where they belong - because...

At first we loved the unit the only thing was that it did not seem to keep up with the ice we were using. Pretty typical of a bottom freezer unit that dispenses ice/water from our understanding. Then about 5 months after having the unit it started making an awful noise off and on every day. I called Samsung and they referred me to a local service center to come out and look at the unit. Mr. Appliance came out and heard the noise told me they had one just last week that sounded the same and needed a new compressor...
read full review »After doing tons of research on every French Door refrigerator and visiting half a dozen stores I finally chose the 29 cuft Samsung with external ice/water. Have owned for about 6wks and am amazed by the capacity of this refrigerator. We are a family of 6 with 4 teenagers and recently had a party and had a ****** cake and 3 ****** pizzas in there with our regular food.
The freezer is larger than it looks and the pull out drawer in the top makes it easy to separate items for organization. For a big family it is probably good if you have some additional freezer space if you are a big **************....
read full review »I bought this as a replacement for a re-called Maytag side-by-side. Fortunately, the Maytag was covered under the Sears extended warranty and was given a $1300.00 credit towards a new refrigerator. I have a big family and needed a big fridge. This is it! It is beautiful and easy to see where everything sits. It holds the gallon milk jugs in the door. We did need to remove one of the shelves to hold tall plastic soda bottles. The icemaker took a couple of days to "prime". Overall, I'm really pleased with it. It was definitely worth the money I paid for it on top of the $1300.00...
