Samsung 3.9 cu. ft. Front-Load Steam Washing Machine (WF448AAP) —

My husband and I purchased this laundry pair after having a terrible experience with the new LG 4.5 cubic foot capacity pair. The Sales Rep had sold us on the LG after asking if we had any brand preference. We had a good track record with our LG electronics, so we figured the appliances would have the same quality. We were terribly disappointed! Our laundry room is on the first floor, right off our living room. We have two toddlers who nap on the couch during the afternoon, the LG was like a freight train running through our house! We called to complain since the model had listed a vibration reduction capability, and service came out to assess the situation. The laundry room is on a cement pad, not over the basement, and it still made a huge racket! The service men recommended us looking into a different option since there was nothing they could do to reduce the noise. We went online and did some research of our own. We found this 4.5 cubic foot capacity pair, which hadn't been on display when we first visited the store. The technology seemed to be a good fit, and the silver care option was an added bonus, especially with our two little boys getting ready to start pre-k soon. The sales rep had only good things to say about the samsung appliances, but noted that this was a new machine on their sales floor so they didn't have any first hand customer reviews. We decided to give it a shot and we couldn't be happier! You can barely hear it running- A huge change from the LG with a similar technology. We were a little skeptical of the silver load, but gave it a chance with our towels. I didn't know that laundry could come out so fresh. We've been using the silver with all of our bedding and all of the kids clothes. It doesn't add a lot of time, and it uses cold water. It's a little benefit for a lot of peace of mind- The kids haven't gotten the flu that all their friends have, but maybe I have super children! The capacity is huge, it can handle anything I throw at it! We don't have a need for steam, but I'm sure when the kids get older it will be a nice feature when they're getting super dirty. I couldn't ask for a better washing machine!
