We have this machine but adopted a slightly older model dryer to pair with it. This machine truly spins out most of the water so your dryer doesn't work as hard - love that part. We've had this washer for 4 months now. We still leave the manual for it on top of it for reference but that's a good thing. I wash comforters and large blankets in it effectively. Also, I have put some special care, knitted or chenille blankets in extra large pull-string "delicates"/mesh bags into this machine using specific settings and all have turned out perfect. I also have a 100% goose down comforter which I steamed in it and it also worked out pouffy and fresh. I no longer go to the laundry mat to wash bed linens as this machine handles queen size linens very well. I have steamed wool sweaters in it however not my full length boiled wool coats. I have also used this to clean pet beds which also worked out very well. I do in fact leave the door open after each use to allow it to air dry and prevent any mildew. We are cleaning the filter every 2 months. Our house was built in the 1940's and our washing machine is in the partially finished basement on the concrete floor. We built our own pedestal for it out of wood and all-in-all that has worked out just fine. I have also steamed tennis shoes in this machine and that as well worked like a charm. Would recommend this washer. The price is worth it. It doesn't seem to require as much soap nor fabric softener. In fact, it is saving us money.
