Purchased from Sears 2/2008, along with matching Dryer. NO PROBLEMS WITH VIBRATION, WOBBLING, OR MILDEW!! Machine performs very well, and is incredibly quiet. All contact with Samsung's customer service has resulted in excellent response and service. First issue that has come up is water collecting in fabric softener compartment at end of cycle. Called Samsung for service today; they are coming tomorrow! Will update review afterward to advise of outcome. Having said all of that, I want to comment on what seems to be common to front-loaders in general. I am an old dog and I am not sure I am used... review »

Samsung's repair service did promplty come to diagnose the problem of the fabric softener remaining in the dispenser after the wash cycle was finished, and it is NOT the fault of the washer. So here's a tip for anyone buying: this was happening because we switched to our own water intake hoses, because we wanted BETTER metal hoses with j-shaped elbows, so that we could place the washer closer to the wall. These hoses included flood-safe water-restrictor valves in the hoses, which lowered water pressure to the washer, and did not give it enough pressure to move the softener to the wash tub. VRT works great!

The best thng about this washer is the balancing system, they call it VRT. It has a set of Ball bearings that move around to the unbalanced side to balance it. If you have an unbalanced load, which is usually, it will start to shake as it starts to spin, and then magically balances itself, after about 5 seconds of spinning. Then it gains speed and just quietly hums! From my research, this is the only machine that automatically balances itself. This is a big deal, because front loaders reach 1200 RPM or more. Samsung front loader is a family favorite!

We got a great deal on our Samsung front loading washer. With the tax credit, electric company rebate and water company rebate we will only pay $350.00 for the machine.

So far, we're very impressed with the washer. It is extremely quiet, and runs smoothly. In addition to the automatic cycles, the machine offers choices in water temperature, spin cycle speed, and dirt level. The only thing you can't select is water level, the machine figures that out on its own. I like that the panel tells you how long the wash cycle will take.

I bought some liquid HE Tide because that was recommended, but I...

After owning this washer (and matching dryer) for about five months, I'd offer these observations: -- No mechanical problems whatsoever. Only service call was to have Sears come out and reinstall the dryer hose after it rattled loose after only a couple days because contracted delivery service didn't even bother to put a hose clamp on it. The machines have functioned flawlessly. -- Easy, intuitive controls. Don't be alarmed by the dizzying array of lights. Amazing breadth of washing/drying options. Some of them indeed can take a LONG time, like 90 minutes with the Silvercare cycle, but worth... review »

So, far this has been a great washer! We have had it for 5 weeks and the whole family really enjoys washing their clothes now. Sounds crazy-like a commercial, but it's true. I found one of my daughter's just sitting in a chair in front of it watching it run! At first we bought the LG Tromm front loader. It leaked water on the floor after only having it for 6 days;needless to say I returned it. These washers are too expensive to have problems early on. The LG also shook pictures on the wall in my husbands office( adjacent to the laundry room). The Samsung is so quiet and the walls don't vibrate... review »

We have been using this washer for 5 months now and I have no regret whatsoever. Our laundry area is in the 2nd floor and I don't even hear it when I'm downstairs but I did put an industrial mat which is recommended for 2nd floor laundry area, but still. We got it when it was a fairly new model to Sears and the sales rep was convincing me on getting kenmore but we decided to get this after reading good reviews from other sites. The silver wash is excellent for towels and beddings.

When I was looking for a washer I wasn't sure I wanted this one. The sales guy hadn't sold any and didn't really know much about them. I kept asking him questions about it and the others and in the end this was the best deal. It is an awesome washer. I have two children 12 & 5 so I still spot the front of their shirts but my husbands nasty work shirts come out cleaner than I have ever seen them. Same with all our clothes and towels you can just tell by feeling them when you take them out of the dryer they are cleaner. Plus my water & sewer bill went down 25.00 a month and I dont have to do laundry... review »

I love my new samsung washer and dryer.  It has lived up to all the reveiws and my needs with flying colors. I am not a big fan Of the sears delivery team.

We have enjoyed using this machine.  The Samsung VRT Washer is a beauty.  But, I did have some problems with the Sears personnel that delivered it as they did not know how to stack the dryer on the washer.

 

Further, I have not been able to register the unit on-line with Samsung as the site will not accept the numbers that I copied off the machine.

We bought this machine 2 weeks ago. It has outperformed my expectations. Because we were putting the machine on the second floor, I researched front loader washing machines, hoping to find something both energy efficient and quiet. A salesman recommended the Samsung; it's been perfect! Easy to use, plenty of cycle choices, very quiet, what more can you ask for? This model will spin at 1300 rpm. At the beginning of some spin cycles, you can hear the machine balancing the load, initially with a very little vibration that completely stops after a two seconds. I bought this machine to replace a Kenmore front loader that we had for five years. The Kenmore was nothing but trouble and vibrated terribly. I love the Samsung! The vibration is very minimal. The VRT really works. It is also a very quiet machine. It cleans great and is gentle on the clothes.

I love this samsung 4.0 model, I never knew that I would but, all I can say now is, I don't know what I would do without it, it's the best to me, I would never go back to the other brands, it runs quiet and most of all I love the sweet little melody it makes when the cycle is finish, not to mention, how much less water it takes to do my clothes,  my clothes are so beautifully clean and fresh everytime I have use my new samsung and I would recommend this item to friends and family 1000 percent, Thanks.

I purchased my Samsung HE, large capacity washer and dryer in spite of some of the negative reports I read about front load washers.  Boy I am glad I did.  This is the best laundry purchase I have ever made in 40 years.  The washer is efficient, user friendly, and does a wonderful job so much so that a shirt destined for the rag bin has been restored to the closet.  If anyone is having a problem with these items they are not reading the directions or making use of the many options available for individual load requirements.  I feel like I won something!  I have nothing negative to say about...
