I searched for the right TV for about 2 months, doing a fair amount of research online, but also visiting several stores, including Best Buy, Sears, and Costco. I had finally settled on the 40" Samsung A550, but after talking to some friends, I found out that the biggest regret of TV buyers is that they didn't get a bigger TV. So, my wife and I did some research and we were planning on getting the 46" Samsung A550, which was reasonably priced.
When we went into the Sears store, they were running a big sale on the Samsung A models because they were starting to bring in the B models. There was one TV in particular that blew us away. The 46" Samsung A750. It has a glass border around it that has some red color in it to make it more appealing to the eye. In addition, it has 120 hz, which helps keep high resolution on moving objects, and it has a very good contrast ratio at 50,000:1. More than anything, it just looked so crisp and nice, and it helped that it was deeply discounted because it was their last one in the store. Plus I got an extra 10% off for using my Sears credit card, and another 10% for being a Sears employee. Really those discounts just paid for the 3 yr service plan.
I am very happy with the TV, and it was definitely worth it!!!
