I bought this samsung blu ray player because at this time only samsung makes players that connect wirelessly to blockbuster and netflix . Just beware that if you do not buy a kit that includes one, you will need a dongle (sp?) to connect to the wireless internet.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with a Blu-Ray/HD DVD combo player. Here's why:

Compared the features and picture quality of the Samsung Blu ray dvd player against the "original" SONY unit. Bought the Samsung because of better upgrade to HD and actually better blu ray. More features for the same money. Will be buying a samsung LCD next to go along with the the blu ray player.
BEAUTIFUL PICTURE QUALITY AND GREAT VALUE.
In designing video systems for airports, I look for good price which includes quality design, workmanship and extras normally kept for higher end devices. This product surprised me in its features, warranty, design and extreme ease of intallation. It took more time to read the instructions than to install as it is very user friendly. The quick set-up manual shows cable connections for all possibilities. Being WIFI connective eliminates excessive cables cluttering the area.
This blu ray system is great. It has great image quality, the menus are very cool and easy to use, it has a lot of options, you can see your old DVD's on it , play some music and the remote control is very similar to the samsung LCD TV. The only thing (not major) I found is that it has wireless capability option for internet but you have to buy an external antenna to use this, if not you can always use your LAN cable.
Is slim, thin and and it looks very pretty...great for the price!
Samsung - Blu Ray and HD DVD Player was such a great purchase for me. It went well with my samsung Plasma TV !!! The combo together makes the movie expierence so amazing while in the comfort of your own home.
Looking to purchase a new Blu-Ray player, I spent time researching each of the players around. While this player had amazing reviews, there were some concerns that the firmware update was not compatible with the hardware. After 2 weeks of use, I have no complaints. The firmare update gives you access to YouTube and Blockbuster in addition to the Netflix and Pandora options already available.
The only issue I have is with Pandora itself. Unless you set up your stations on your computer prior to listening, it is very difficult to type in names using the remote. Overall, this is a very graet...
read full review »I purchased a Samsung 52" LN52A650 and love it. I then purchased the BD-P3600 Blu Ray Player and that's a different story. I never had to use the tech assistance with Samsung with the TV or I wouldn't have purchased the Blu Ray player. I was most interested in streaming the movies from my Netlix account. The Blu Ray player connects to the internet, but won't stream the movies. I have sent the unit in to the service center twice, but still can't stream Netflix. I meet the specs required for online streaming and already did an update of firmware, however I get the unit back from service...

I love this device. It shows amazing results with the 1080P screen. WOW! And the functionality and ease are accessible right out of the box. Also plays regular DVD's.
This was my first blu ray player. I would suggest this player to all my friends and family. Works great with samsung lcd tvs as well. Great value for the price.
The Samsung blue ray hd dvd player is so great on my lcd tv. I never imagined how good the graghics would be until now. When I watch a movie, its like I am watching at a movie theater. Its just great because I love to collect and watch movies and this new adition just made my year. The movies I watch are crystal clear.
