“Great little camcorder!”

We had a very old camcorder that was bigger and used the small cassette disks. It was very cumbersome to carry around and use. This camera is small and fits into a person's hand perfectly. “All our daughters baby memories are lost because of this camera!”

This is a HORRIBLE video camera! We have had problem after problem with it! Often it will randomly come up with a screen that says "Write error" in the middle of recording, and you can then never retrieve your video you just recorded. This has caused us much grief as we were sure to have the video camera...

“This samsung dvd camcorder is a waste of good money!!”

I am extremely disappointed in this camera. We bought it from Kmart last summer and were only given 90 days warranty.  It stopped reading the discs just as the warranty expired...which usually happens with most products. I was told by samsung to send it to their repair center for a flat rate of $80. We sent it for repair and it worked for a few more months and is saying "disc error" while loading the discs. We have already changed from the dvd -r to the dvd+r and even tried the +RW discs.  It does the same thing. I refuse to pay another $80, to "try" and get it repaired again. I just had my daughters...

“Excellent Product”

I bought this camcorder about 2 months ago. I am very happy with this product. I did alot of research on camcorders before I purchased this one. Great value for the price!! Has all the features that I want or needed.

“I would buy this camcorder in a heart beat!”

I like this camcord because of the ease of use and Il l ove samsung products!

The picture quality is great I like the fact that you can connect to a computer and edit the photos or make the movie into pictures!Went on **** and bid for $69.00and had gotten the Samsung sc-dx103 brand new in the box!Very happy with product! If the battery has a short span would buy a couple of them and this solves the problem!!

“They actually sell this stuff?”

I would definitely not recommend the Samsung SC-DX103. It was terrible, the picture was poor, features disappointing and the battery only lasted for 15 minutes. On the plus side Sears gave me my money back and I bought a different camcorder which is wonderful.

“not recommended”

This camera is simple, which is nice. The first use on a fully charged battery was great, until it had a error and was recovering the data. At which point, the battery died. I didnt think much of it at the time until I plugged it in to finalize the disc and recieved a disc error. When this happens all of the data is lost. It is pretty sad when the battery does not have enough juice to record and process a 30 minute disc!

“Very upset with a defective camcorder”

I bought this dx-103 samsung dvd camcorder on black friday of 2008 at sears.  It recorded one disc at x mas and it worked fine, even did playback.   Then we tried showing the family at a get togather and it stopped reading them.  I called samsung seriously like 100 days after purchase and could get no help.  THEY TOLD ME TO BUY ANOTHER KIND OF DVD.  Being they are almost $15 a pack thats not going to happen.  If I were going to have to pay to fix it, buy othere dvds etc I would have bought a good sony.Sears the same story. I am so upset being I dont make much money at all now that im on unemployment. ...

“very disapointed”

I thought that I had bought a camcorder that I could record my grandchildren , but I was disappointed whenI filmed my 2 year old grandsons birthday party with it . It would stop when I would play it back, and would not film all of what I wanted to film( like blowing out his candles and opening his gifts). I called tech support and they told me to do something, So the next week I filmed my granddaughter cheering and it did not record right again I had the blue screen of death where I should have had video . so I called tech support again and now I have to make up my mind to send it in for repair... read full review »

“Great Camera for the price”

Works great ,nice picture quality. It is great to have the flexability to shoot to sd or DVD. DVD + is not as cheep as DVD-, but no big deal for occaisional useres like me. Sound quality is great. You can buy better but not at this price.
