I would say it may not be worth the money as it lasts about as long as the warranty and you can't get parts. There should be a class action lawsuite against Samsung. I would do my research and buy another brand, it may be a little more expensive, but you will have a working TV.

I purchased this TV for my family room and love love love it!
It is lite as a feather and easy to install. The only downside is it has one set of a/v components and we have two video systems. Other than that its great!
We bought a 32" Samsung in Dec. 2007. It's been a great TV. We are replacing a Samsung in our camper with the 32" and wanted a larger TV in the house. We've had nothing but great service out of the Samsungs that we've owned. This new 40" is no exception - we love it! The picture is beautiful, the sound is great, it was easy to hook up and easy to operate. Sears service is great - their price match is unbeatable! We probably won't buy another TV for a long time, but if we do, it will be a Samsung from Sears.
I don't know what to say except that I am totally satisfied with my purchase. First, I researched HDTV's and found out that Samsung is one of the most reliable. Then I checked it out at Sears and found that the picture quality was one of the best, even when viewed at an angle. Finally, the clarity when watching football on this TV is awesome.
I recently bought this TV and I can say, WOW!

after two years it broke twice in two months costing 500.00 each time to fix. problem with the power grid both times
Bought 32" Samsung 2 years ago. Loved it while it worked. One day 6wks ago picture disappeared. Sound remained.
TV repairman still has it, trying to get parts for it. So far have $200 into repair costs, and not yet fixed. Will not buy without an extended warranty again.
We bought this TV few year ago and it still runs great. The picture quality is good and the HDMI connections for the DVD player make all the difference
Great TV!!!!!! Got a really good deal on black friday. Easy to hook up. I don't have a newer dvd player so I don't have it hooked up with an hdmi cord but I did get a composite cord and movies look great. Have just regular cable hooked up and it looks good. You can tell the difference between the regular and HD channel. And I have found the sound to be great. I am only using the tv speakers and I don't even haven't turned it up that loud (this was one thing that I was worried about based on all the reviews that I have read about LCD's and Plasma's)
So far the only thing that I don't like about...
