Samsung - Instinct Cell Phone —
OMG the Samsung Instinct from Sprint is awesome!
Samsung has put together alot of features in this lightweight device. I am so pleased that I left my Blackberry in lieu of my newest gadget!
Let's Start with the pros:
- I'm able to get all of my emails right on my phone. You can set up as many accounts as you need to for the ambitious on the go person like me. I can view my emails and the attachments (even those in the Microsoft Office format) and respond with ease.
- Social Applications like Facebook, Myspace, Photobucket and Youtube come preloaded in your phone.
- Has a microsd slot for memory cards so you can load up on being a budding photographer, listen to your favorite music, or watch some videos. I like being able to utilize my phone as an ipod wherever I go. I listen to my phone in the car, during work at my night job, and can be that instant music for the impromptu summer get togethers.
- Lets not forget the TOUCHSCREEN! Some of these phones feature keyboards that are to hard to navigate because the buttons are crammed into a little amount of space.
- HD Radio Application. I can listen to radio stations all over the country without missing a beat!
- Video application lets me catch up on my Housewives of Atlanta via the Bravo to go Network!
- Phone as modem function will always work for that laptop. Why pay extra for a data card?
- The accessories package was great. It came with the additional battery, a case, the usb cord, double ear headphones, and a microsd card.
Cons:
- The battery life is horrible if your a person that is constantly on your phone but the Samsung geniuses (they deserve kudos) developed a case to house your additional battery so you can charge 1 as you use the other.
- I can't use the songs from my memory card as ringtones to assign to my friends and family for when they call.
- Camera has no zoom or flash features.
- GPS maps need to be updated. According to sprint navigation my house is in the middle of Raymond Boulevard.
All around this is a very stylish and power packed phone. I had reservations about the touchscreen but I got over it quickly once I texted for the first time. So easy to navigate around that keyboard! I am always on the go so I looked for a phone that was going to have enough "extras" for me to spend my money. I was happilly satisfied with the result.
The best part about this phone was the price! Drumroll please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $22.00! My fiance was online since we had been discussing this for months and managed to fall right onto a computer glitch. The price advertised was $20.00 plus the $2.00 fee. Tried it again the next day and it was removed. So glad we caught it.
Overall the phone has alot to offer. I am quite sure the next one will have even more features that will get it closer to the IPhone's magic formula without the huge price sticker!
