I've had this 1.5 years, still good as new. Room for my VCR, DVR, & converter box on lower shelf. It slides with my 70-lb TV across a hard floor when I need to move it, sturdy not shaky.

2 Master cargo straps ($6 on ******) cinch TV down onto the swivel shelf so my toddler grandbaby can't push it/make it rock--that heavy TV falling could kill her.

Most important: Be sure the 2 swivel stops are FULLY SEATED. Carefully pound the narrower shaft of each stop bumper COMPLETELY down into its hole. The swivel shelf has rollers underneath it that run into the 2 bumpers, to stop the shelf from turning...

Just what I needed

It took me about 2 hours to assemble it. It was easy to assemble and it looks great in my daughter's bedroom. The only thing I have a tiny problem with is the magnets that keep the doors shut. They work.....it's just that i have to push on the door a couple of times for it to pop open instead of just once.

Great Item!

Easy to put together and very sturdy. I put a 27" TV on it and it's great! It's a good quality item at an excellent price!

Sturdy & Great Value

This unit was a breeze to put together. Did it myself in under an hour. I have an older 27" TV that is quite heavy, this holds it no problem. Shelf below TV holds a combo DVD/VCR player & Cable box easily. Roomy storage behind doors. Would be better if there were a shelf in there, but not that big of a deal. They should really promote the swivel top that holds the TV. GREAT feature! WELL worth the money and and have gotten quite a few compliments from friends. They can't believe how inexpensive it is !

Great value

This tv stand is is a great buy. I looked all over for an affordable tv stand with doors to keep my puppy from chewing on cords and such, but most were 3 to 5 times as expensive. It's quite compact, great for our smaller living room, and matches very well with our angular Ikea furniture. I love the swivel top, and the shelf and cupboard are roomy. Assembly instructions were of average difficulty for those who are used to putting things furniture together. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Value, sturdy, spaccious

Price can not be beat, very sturdy and spacious for intended TV size, manual very good with decent artwork, and easy to put together on top of a table, no need for "floor" work. Black finish excellent on tight press-board.

Great Value!

I liked this so well, I'm buying a second one. I've seen units twice as expensive that didn't look as good or have a swivel top. Instructions were very clear and it only took an hour to put it together. Unit is very solid.

Good product, great value!

This is the first of two Sauder pieces I have purchased for my bedroom. I have a small room and not much money, so I needed something inexpensive and compact, but I still wanted it to look decent and be functional. I paid $40 for this and am very pleased with it. It obviously doesn't look like a $200 piece, but it still looks classy. Assembly did take a good hour, but it was all basic steps with clear instructions. The stand for the TV is perfect viewing height for sitting down in bed or a chair, and the swivel function is very nice, which I didn't even think about when I was buying it. The space... read full review »

Cheaply made even for the price

I bought this peice because it was relatively cheap, but the quality was worse than I expected. The corners of almost every peice had the light wood-colored particle board sticking out from the black cover that was pealing off at the edges. I had to paint all the corners with black fingernail polish so it wouldn't look so obvious. I should've returned it but it took so long to assemble I just wanted to be done with it. Assembly was not difficult, the directions were easy to understand. It just took almost two hours to assemble even with clear directions.
