Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike —
I purchased this bike in mid December 06 and think it's great. I was looking for a basic exercise bike to use when I couldn't go walking. I was also looking for a solid, well built one that would hopefully last me for several years. So far I'm very happy with my choice.
Assembly went smoothly and took about 2 hours. I've been riding 40 minutes or more, 5 days a week and have no complaints about the bike. It is comfortable to sit on and all of the computer functions work well. The bike weighs about 95 lbs and is very stable on the floor. The rear feet have levelers built in, and the front has small wheels to help move it around after you tip it up. It is extremely quiet, and although I don't read or watch TV while riding, it wouldn't generate enough noise to interfere with any kind of activity you'd want to do. It is very, very quiet.
I wasn't looking for any special programing routines, just something basic. I'm satisfied with the manual mode, and now use 1 of the 2 general peaking and falling routines provided. These are somewhat adjustable, too. I haven't tried any of the 4 heart rate programs the computer provides yet.
From my experience so far I'd say it's a good quality bike for at home use. Sale price is $50 less, and if you can get it on a day when everything is an extra 10% off, it's a great deal.
