Schwinn Exercise Bike

We've had our Schwinn Exercise Bike for a while now and it was easy to put together. The machine is very quiet and stable, a well made piece of exercise equipment. Seat adjusts very well for different heights and it has good pedal placement. The display is awesome and it is very stable. Recommend...

Reliability Issues

I purchased this bike a little over one year ago. Not too long after using it, the pulse indicater quit working-not a big deal. However, the resistance settings have now quit working, which means it either functions at an extremely high resistance, or no resistance at all. I have spoken to Schwinn, and... read full review »

Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike Reviews

Displaying reviews 1 - 13 of 56 in total

My husband and I have decided to start the new year with some healthy habits.  In January, we decided to start to eat better, and we noticed we had more energy.  Then, in Feb. we decided to start exercising more and my March we were tired of the changes in weather.  We knew we could go to Sears for a good selection of exercise equipement.  As soon as we saw the Schwinn 202 Recumbent Excercise Bike, we LOVED it.  We were able to try it out in the store, but we didn't know exactly how we would love it at home, until we got it home.  We are now racing to get ready in the morning to see who gets...

Good bike

The bike was recommended for exercise in my knee replacement surgery recovery. It arrived the day I requested it despite the snowy conditions. It went together easily by the directions, and although it did take a couple of hours I did it by myself. The computer worked perfectly upon being plugged in. It was a little larger than I had hoped, but it seems to do the job.

This bike is very comfortable to ride. It is exceptionally quiet! I have mine in front of the TV so I can watch while I exercise, and I don't even need to turn the volume up! The features are nice, w/MPH, distance, time, etc. I'm not sure how accurate the heart rate feature is, but wouldn't expect it to be spot-on.

STAY AWAY

The bike performs EXCELLENT the first year then falls apart. Too many problems to list here but the biggest one is the motor fails which controls the tension after less than 1000 miles. UNACCEPTABLE.

Great cycle for the money.

I have had this cycle for two week's. I have not found any problem's with it. I did however have a broken computer LCD screen that only showed half the information it should have. Sear's send out a new one. It took a week to get it. The machine is very quiet and very stable. It appears to be a well made piece of exercise equipment. My goal is to loose some weight, and I think I can do it with this cycle. I would recommend this cycle to anyone looking for a good cycle at a good price.

Love the Schwinn 202!

I bought the Schwinn 202 about 1 month ago and love it! The bike is extremely quiet it's almost silent. There are many different programs and levels that you can use, including a heart rate detector. Been using the bike for a month now and have found no problems with it. Excellent!

#1 for the $$$$$$

The 202 is the best bike for what it cost. Looks great and is very easy to put together. I put it together in 36 Alice Cooper's songs. Some steps that it told me to do were already done by the factory. I was told that I would need to buy an AC adapter. NOT SO One was included so now I have one to return. All parts were there and sorted according to the step that you were on. Very simple, even you could do it.........ha ha (wait till it is on sale and save $50)

Quality and fun

We spent 20 or so hours on line researching different exercise bikes. Recumbent were the most comfortable to ride. Many other brands were listed as ,not to waste your money on and recommended the Schwinn. They were right, The assembly instructions were well written and clear, the nuts and bolts were the most impressive, they were shrink wrapped to a card describing both number and type of bolt, so there was no guess work. Screws and bolts show nice quality in the product . Pulling all out of box, putting i together was around 90 min, including a cup of tea. Set up the bike by the window and can... read full review »

Superior quality and performance

I had researched the recumbent bikes and talked to others. This is the one that offered everything I was looking for and was a fair price. I bought the bike when it was on sale for $349 and the next week it was $329. Sears did give me the price adjustment. I got the bike home and had immediate help with 2 boys (ages 3 and 6). Even with the "help" they offered, I was able to put this bike together in a little over an hour and a half. I have to give it a very good rating for the ease of putting it together. I had no troubles, and the nuts, bolts, and washers are packaged according to each step. They... read full review »

Great bike! I can't comment on the putting it together part (I bribed someone more mechanically inclined to do that for me), but all of the pieces arrived in perfect condition. We did pick it up ourselves at a Sears store, so that might have helped. The bike's size is perfect for both me (short/stout) and my boyfriend (tall/stout) and it is easy to adjust. There's a nice variety of programs and features and I like that the water bottle is kept within easy reach.

very satisfied

The bike is well made. As for reviews about assembling it being difficult. The only problem with assembling it is the tools supplied. They are junk. Use your own tools. Or borrow a friend's tools. The instructions were well laid out and easy to follow. The bike is sturdy and quiet. It has stood up to using it 3 to 4 times a week at least an hour each time. Normally warm up for 1 minute at level 3 the at end of hour cool down at level 3 for a couple minutes. The resistance setting are easy to adjust to get a varied ride which I like the ease of being able to vary it to maximum resistance then back... read full review »
