I own the upright schwinn model 123 bike. Have had it for 2 years and love it. Just purchased this recumbent model 202 and I have to tell you for the money it is top notch. We went to a Sears store and tried all the floor models even the ones that cost twice as much as this one. I kept coming back to...review »
I purchased this bike a little over one year ago. Not too long after using it, the pulse indicater quit working-not a big deal. However, the resistance settings have now quit working, which means it either functions at an extremely high resistance, or no resistance at all. I have spoken to Schwinn, and...review »

Schwinn 202 Recumbent Exercise Bike Ratings and Reviews
Great buy...quality plus product...easy assemble...directions were great and parts well organized step by step. I have recently had a knee replacement and use this bike regularly.
If you were anything like me when you were looking into what bike to purchase, you're probably geeking out. I about had a coronary.
For me, it was between the Proform XP 400 R and this one. I test-"rode" them both at the store. The Schwinn has really good pedal placement and the seat adjusts VERY well for different heights. I am 5'1" and my guy friend who also tried it is 5'11."
The resistance is smooth and silent, and the bike feels VERy stable. The seat is not as wide as the Proform, but it is somehow much more comfy and has a nice little lumbar support doo-hickey. The display is awesome, and...review »
My husband and I purchased this 1 week ago. With both of us, it was easy to put together. Low impact cardio workout. It is definately a challenge for all fitness levels. We both work up quite a sweat. It is also a very quiet bike. I can hear the TV even on a very low volume. I was afraid of a bike rocking back and forth, this does not do that as well. Worth the money!!
This bike is great! It is sturdy and very quiet. You can easily listen to radio or TV while pedeling as any speed. It's fairly easy to assemble and all required tools are provided. I'm over 300 lbs and it holds me easily. The controls and readouts are easily visable and nothing is too complicated. I highly recommend this bike.
I have had this cycle for two week's. I have not found any problem's with it. I did however have a broken computer LCD screen that only showed half the information it should have. Sear's send out a new one. It took a week to get it.
The machine is very quiet and very stable. It appears to be a well made piece of exercise equipment. My goal is to loose some weight, and I think I can do it with this cycle. I would recommend this cycle to anyone looking for a good cycle at a good price.
I bought the Schwinn 202 about 1 month ago and love it! The bike is extremely quiet it's almost silent. There are many different programs and levels that you can use, including a heart rate detector. Been using the bike for a month now and have found no problems with it. Excellent!
I bought this bike 13 months ago and have only used it maybe 20 times. It has already stopped working! It will not put tension on the wheel. My local Schwinn dealer told me that the 202 is built much cheaper so that they can sell it at department store prices. Dont buy this bike! The repair costs are too high too fix it so I have a brand new bike that is going in the dumpster.
I rode this bike about 20 times and the resistance motor broke. sears would not honor the scwinn warranty. bike was 94 days old when this happened. Sears wanted to charge $94 to sentd a tech. plus $35 an hour wages plus parts. I will never buy another piece of exercice equipment from Sears.
I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and needed to loose weight and begin an exercise program, but also have arthritic knees. So far this summer, I've been doing well with a daily walking program; however, I knew I'd need an indoor option for inclement weather. At first, I was leaning towards an eliptical, but then realized a recumbent bike may be a better choice, as my husband, who suffers from lower back problems, might use it also. When I began researching recumbent bikes, I came across this one. I was attracted by the Schwinn name and also the more affordable price, but the main reason I...review »
The bike was recommended for exercise in my knee replacement surgery recovery. It arrived the day I requested it despite the snowy conditions. It went together easily by the directions, and although it did take a couple of hours I did it by myself. The computer worked perfectly upon being plugged in. It was a little larger than I had hoped, but it seems to do the job.
Product has worked flawless for 3mos. then display would cut in/out. Found audio jack at rear of seat cracked internally. Called Schwinn fitness, Was told to call Sears. Called Sears was told only had 90 days on that because it is attatched to handle bars. Try finding a jack for it is not easy(will not pay $50+ s/h for new bars to have same thing occur.
I just purchased this bike and was quite impressed with the quality of the equipment and the packaging of the pieces to assemble - even down to the way they packaged the screws, washers etc. They come sealed on a cardboard with the pieces needed for each step grouped together. It took about an hour and a half to get the bike together. Some of the parts are quite heavy and it helped to have a second pair of hands to help hold the pieces together while being attached.
This bike feels solid - some of the other bikes I tried made me feel like I was going to fall off of it - or it was going to come...review »
Here's my situation, I've been a Bally gym member for years. But the last few months I was so sick of going there ...for a myriad of reasons.
So I wanted a machine that was robust and cheap. And for a while I flirted with some of the cheaper machines ...a word of warning ...DON'T!! Stop here and go no where else.
The machine is as sturdy as the lifecycle machines I've used at the gym. And its "quite". Let me talk about that a bit. I do interval training because I find it most effective.
I would ride at a moderate pace for 2 minutes then go max for another 2 . When I'm at the max ...I tend to...review »
Quality and performance at a great value. The Schwinn® 202 recumbent bike is backed by over 100 years of cycling heritage, quality and performance and is exclusive to Sears. The Schwinn® 202 recumbent bike comes with a heavy 9kg flywheel, normally found on higher end bikes, which gives a feel more like an outdoor cycle. Another comfort consideration is the convenient side location of the grip heart rate rather than near the console. This allows you to maintain better positioning while using.
