Squeaking

Schwinn SR23 Recumbent Bike —

Hello, This bike was GREAT untill it started to squeak. Let me start by saying I weight 220 pounds (80 under max) It was put together per the manual and all screws have been checked. There is a horrible squeaking noise coming from underneath the chair. It is probably the same noise that another review on this site explains. But mine is extremely loud. I can barely hear the TV over the squeaking. I called support and they say it is not a defect with the equipment so they want to charge me. I said i don't think so, i just spent .5k and am not paying more to get a new machine to work right. Anyway not impressed will have to put everything back in the box and take back to sears (at least Ididn't by online).

I bought the same bike but for $300 as a closeout. The squeaking noise occurs if the seat position adjustment knob is not firmly tightened. When firmly tightened, the squeak ceases.
