Schwinn SR23 Recumbent Bike —
We decided to buy a bike for more than one reason. The main reason for me is that I need knee replacement in both knees. I am not ready mentally for that yet so thought this bike may help since the Dr. said it would. We have a treadmill but that causes too much pain and the Dr. said not to use it. We also have a glider(do not use that either)I asked my husband to decide on one that he thought was good. He looked at several and we both read the reviews on the SR23. He thought this one would be good and since after reading the reviews so many said they use it for arthritis, I agreed with it. Sear's has it on sale for $499(which is $100 off) and the computer said they were in stock. I called and the sales person said that they accidentally put a second one together 2 days ago as a result had none in stock. If we wanted that it didn't have a scratch on it and would give us $15 off the price. We went yesterday and tried it out, seemed great and it is. I did see a slight scratch on the computer soooo another $15 off offered by the very nice salesman. We had also gotten a 10% off coupon in the mail that we used. Sear's charges $169 to assemble them but the salesman didn't mention it. We paid $467 with tax. It works great and makes no noise at all. I do mean none! It has great programs and always says great job when you're finished riding. I'm only using Program 2 for 5 minutes at a time and have a long way to go. My husband is pleased with it also. Hopefully it will do the job that I intended and prolong surgery for a few more years.
