After weeks of recumbent bike research I chose the Schwinn SR23 over comparable models based on the many available reviews and personal testing. Personally picked it up at the local Sears to avoid any shipping damage issues. Box was in good shape with no damage upon unpacking. Assembly was easy but will... review »

Hello, This bike was GREAT untill it started to squeak. Let me start by saying I weight 220 pounds (80 under max) It was put together per the manual and all screws have been checked. There is a horrible squeaking noise coming from underneath the chair. It is probably the same noise that another review... review »

I bought this bike and had it delivered from Sears in a huge box which was undamaged to my upper level condo where I assembled it without difficulty. Actually it was fun putting it together myself. I had no missing pieces at all. The nuts and bolts were easily located and identified. The instructions were clear. Once it was assembled and placed on the equipment mat to protect the carpet, I tried it out and it worked flawlessly! It is virtually noiseless and very steady when in use. I had no squeaks from the seat at all. It provides an excellent aerobic workout. I love the way the resistance smoothly... review »

I almost didn't buy this bike because I couldn't find any reviews on it, and they didn't have this model in my local store. I decided to take a chance anyway, and I'm glad I did. It feels a lot sturdier than the bikes I tried in stores. It was easy to assemble and didn't take but about an hour. The seat is a lot easier to adjust than other bikes I tried in stores too. It's also whisper quiet. I would warn anyone who buys it to be aware that it comes in a very large box though. The bike itself does have a little bit bigger footprint than some of the other bikes I looked at, but that is a trade off... review »

My old bike broke after many years. And I have bad knees related to military service. I worked as a Rehab Nurse for 11 years and we had these bikes in the patients gym. Most had knee or hip replacements. So I thought I would give this style a try. Love it! Easy to put together, easy to use, comfortable and very quiet. I would recommend this bike to anyone. I ordered it online, and it was already in stock at my local store. Pick-up took 5 minutes. Now my workout is back on track.

We decided to buy a bike for more than one reason. The main reason for me is that I need knee replacement in both knees. I am not ready mentally for that yet so thought this bike may help since the Dr. said it would. We have a treadmill but that causes too much pain and the Dr. said not to use it. We also have a glider(do not use that either)I asked my husband to decide on one that he thought was good. He looked at several and we both read the reviews on the SR23. He thought this one would be good and since after reading the reviews so many said they use it for arthritis, I agreed with it. Sear's... review »

My wife and I decided to purchase this bike after extensive reviews. We're both in pretty good shape, but decided we needed to be heart healthy in addition to the toning this bike would bring with consistent use. It's not as cheap as some, but much less expensive than many others. The quality is gym-grade...very solid. Great materials...nothing cheap about it. We set up in our living room in view of the tv. It is whisper quiet and we can watch tv without turning the volume up to abnormal levels....no squeaking so far from any of the components. The workouts are great and you will feel it in your... review »

I've had six surgeries on my left foot and have gone three years with no activity. I felt I needed an exercise bike to get the exercise that I need without putting a lot of pressure on my foot. This bike is terrific, It was easy to put together, it took me about 90 minutes. It was a little too heavy for me to lift out of the box, and carry it anywhere, but I did manage to get it out and then attach the wheels so I could easily wheel it to the room I was going put it together and use it in. The bike is very quiet, very sturdy, and I am able to watch tv as I work out. The programs are wonderful... review »

Ok, I did a lot of research before buying this bike, even read all of the reviews on this and the other bikes Sears sells. I have had two Proform upright bikes, both of which fell apart, the insides started falling out through the bottom. So, I knew that I would not buy another Proform. I tried the Schwinn R23. I was like "wow" I never thought I would want a recumbant bike. But this one changed my mind. I'm not sure why other buyers had problems with a "squeaky" seat, mine doesn't make a peep. It's VERY quiet and the only noise I ever hear is when it changes resistence. As for assembly, my 19 year... review »

We have recently purchased the S23 and have fornd it to be an exceptional exercise machine. I did have the incessant squeeking while riding, but after looking at the way it was put together, I loosened the screws on the support column directly inder the seat and raised the seat holding bar till it wouldn't raise any further and tightened the screws and it has been squeak free ever since. The wife absolutely loves it. For the price i don't believe it can be beat.

Bought this bike about a month ago. Was everything that I'd read in prior reviews. I had been looking for a used recumbent bike but after reading reviews on different ones I decided not to go that route. This bike is very quiet, almost no sound at all, the different programs that you can choose make it interesting. It took about an hour to assemble with the tools that were supplied. We ordered it and received it at our local Sears store one week later.

I purchased this bike after reading all the reviews. I love the bike. It works as smooth as one could work. I have ridden it for 30 minutes a day for the last 30 days. Works great. But the review were right about one thing. It has a squeaking seat that will get on your nerves after a while. Except for that it is a great bike. The squeak is the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5.

WOW.. This is an excellent bike. After reading reviews from many different bikes, I decided to get this one. As with anything in life every bike I read about had something wrong with it; however, this bike I truely do not see anything wrong with. There are no squeaks and it is very quite. The preset programs are great fun. This is enjoyed by the whole family.

We bought this bike about a month ago and have loved it. We were looking for exercise equipment that would be durable for my husband who is almost 300 lbs. and easy on his knees. It seems to be great for both. I also like the many different workouts and levels. It is keeping us interested which is essential to helping us establish a workout schedule. I have never had a machine that is so quiet! There is a slight squeak in the seat as it has said in other reviews, but it is barely noticeable. I am so excited to have this bike and would highly recommend it.
