“Keeps our refrigerator alive”
We have a Kenmore refrigerator that was purchased new in August of 1980. The Sears Appliance Repair Center has kept it working during all those years. I don't know if it was cost effective or not to keep repairing it, but I've had repairmen from other companies say that appliances from that era were designed to last a lifetime or to be replaced once. Each time, it was possible to do a good repair. A clip that holds a shelf broke and we were going without until the repairman came to fix something else and he ordered it for us. I assumed that it would be impossible to find a part like a tiny clip.
I've looked at new refrigerators and what I would love to have is too expensive and too big for the space where mine has to fit. The models its size have no advantages over what we already own, so we'll keep calling the Sears Appliance Repair Center in the future.
