Sears Home Appliance Warranty Service —

After purchasing a LG steam front loading washer and dryer and a 50 gallon hot water heater for my new house on April 30, 2008 I had a problem with the rebate and TRIED to call my local store. After many vane attempts and requests to talk to the salesman in the local store I was badly treated and patronized. The service person insisted that THEY would take care of the problem. I related the problem and was told there was nothing they could do. When I called back to complain to a supervisor, they HUNG UP ON ME. I was not rude or mean, just insistant that I be given the direct number for the store. I finally got in the car and went to the local store where the kind and sweet original saleman took care of my problem within minutes. I have done business with Sears for 43 years but my recent bad experiences with the phone system and with the unacceptably long time to get service (call on August 5 warranty service scheduled for August 29th) has made us rethink and cancel the home improvement we planned on having Sears bid on. We will be having our Kitchen done by another local business that we have had better experiences with.
