We purchased a one year purchase agreement after over three years of owning our Samsung LCD TV. About a month after the purchase agreement was in effect, the TV started having problems. After three visits to our house the technician determined the actual screen needed replaced. That particular screen...

Sears extended warranty service is an absolute joke. My particular case of woe with these bozos is way too extensive to detail and frankly I don't want to have to relive the nightmare again. All I can say is I will never, ever shop at Sears again as long as I live and dealing with them has already taken...

Second Friday afternoon in a row I have taken off because they blew me off the first time.  What a joke!!  Technician was supposed to be here between 1:00 and 5:00.  Called customer service who was useless.  Technician just called at 5:15 and said he couldn't be here for another two hours.  Unreal!  Technician also had a SERIOUS attitude problem.  Don't waste your time or money with Sears.

I am a business owner myself, and if I ran my business the way Sears runs their repair and warranty service I would be OUT OF BUSINESS.  I can't think of anywhere that has more poor customer service.

EVERY time I call, (and now that I have a two year warranty I bought on my washing machine, I need to call them) - I can count on losing two days of my work and income.  That makes their service NOT WORTH IT - don't get it!

First of all, they give you a four hour time frame - in which the repair man will be there (usually it isn't for a couple of weeks that they can get to you).  Then, when they...

Attempting to get our television serviced under the warranty policy has been the WORST experience we have ever had.

Today we finally give up.  We will purchase a new television from a company that backs its products and warranty (which obviously isn't SEARS).  We will have to consider this a $1300 lesson learned.

Do yourself a favor - dont' purchase a SEARS warranty.  They will do everything in their power to stall you, inconvienence you, anything it takes to not have to fix it. In our case they win - we can't keep taking days off from work and we do miss not having television as odd as that...

The service was great years ago but recently (the last three years) the service has gone down hill.  Recently I needed my washer repaired and had to wait over two weeks.   I had to rent a washer from RAC (added expenses).  I wash practically everyday.  How do you expect someone to wait over two weeks for repairs.  That was one of the reasons for purchasing a warranty service.   Hopefully, Sears will hire more repair people for better turn around service.  Also, when I called for repair service the person wanted me to pull my machine from the wall to check something.  I'm in my fifties...

I made 4 separate appointments for service to my Kenmore Washer and Dryer and my husband and daughter and I had disagreements when they said the service man did not show up for service call. Well last Sat. am I was home all day till 5 pm and they left a note on my door saying they had come @ 8 am and I did not answer the door. I was home, they did not make a phone call saying they were on their way and they never rang the door bell. If they had I would have heard them and my 2 dogs would have been barking had they rung the bell!!

So it looks like I am being billed $181.02 for them to come to the...

We purchased a Sony HD TV as a present for ourselves in November of 2008. In August of 2009 we started having problems with the TV and reception. At the time of the sales, the sales person recommended we purchase the warranty package. When we called Sears, they were very pleasant and wanted to get the problem resolved. The service person came out and adjusted the TV but it just did not look the same, they came back out and had to order a new part, the new part came in but it was defective, he had to reorder another part .   Finally theygot it corrected. The service and the warranty was a life...

 August 28 th

Called Sears repair to fix my six year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator as per my service plan. Three weeks was as soon as they could get a repair man out here. Waited all day for him and of course he got here at 5PM. Of course the repair was over 500 dollars so I would have to pay out of pocket expenses. He installed a new compressor in the refrigerator witch didn't work. He had to order another witch came the next week. I immediately called the Sears repair center to schedule another repair date . Another three weeks without a refrigerator I was told through the hottest weeks of...

My rerigerator broke after the warranty expired. After being offered a replacement plan of over $250 dollars by two different operators. Another operator at Sears informed me I could just extend my warranty for $165 and she saved me $100 or the first two operators tried make me spend an unnecessary $100. It's how you look at it. When the repairman came, there was a misunderstanding because I made the appointment. The warranty was under my aunts name because she bought the refrigerator. They were rude and unproffessional. They assumed there was no misunderstanding and I didn't have a warranty. They...

My brand new washer broke down. Sears could not get someone scheduled for repair for two weeks. Waited all day for the repair service to show up . They never called, the tech was runinng late so they cancelled my appointment and rescheduled for another week away! I;m paying laundromat bills and a new washer bill. SEARS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Customer service rescheduled the appointment and hung up on me when I requested to speak to a manager. Never again will I buy from Sears!

Sears will soon be out of business if they treat all their long term customers like I have been treated!  And, as well as this lousy customer service, the appliances are no longer reliable and long lasting.  There was a time when Kenmore was a respected brand.  In the last 5 years, I have purchased both a side by side fridge and an installed dishwasher.  Both broke down within 3 years.  Fixing the ice maker in the fridge cost $350!  The dishwasher, less than 3 years old, is now kaput, with a $315 (EXTORTION!) repair needed...

This would be bad enough, but attempting to schedule service entails trying...

Sears Maintenance Agreements/Sercie Techs

I have 6 Sears appliances covered by a Maintenance Agreement.  I have all 6 services once a year for preventative maintenance.  The Service Techs are very proactive whenit comes to replacing any faulty or broken part whether I bring it to their attention or not.  I try to point any issues we are having with the units, but I am confident that should they find something else during their inspection/maintenance activity, they will fix it or order the broken or faulty part.   They are very reliable and wrell trained.

I have never had such a frustrating experience as I have had while trying to deal with the Sears Repair Department.  My washer has been out of commision for more than two weeks and I FINALLY had an appointment for this morning from 8-12.  I took the day off and sat here and waited...and waited...and waited.  At 12noon, when a technician still hadn't appeared, I called the customer service department who told me they would send a message to the repairman and that I was next in line.  Bad enough that I had already been sitting here for four hours, but he didn't call, nor did he show up by 2pm. ...

Sears has been a staple in our family for a very long time. We buy our appliances there and have always been happy with the service dept. BUT i must say the customer service call center is absolutely horrible.  The people don't speak ENGLISH...they don't listen and they hang up if you get frustrtated with them in the least.  I spent about an hour trying to get someone to speak to me about my dryer light.  I was hung up on twice!  All I wanted was to be transferred to the repair dept.

I hope the call center falls off the face of the earth!  then maybe you will open another one here in AMERICA...????...
