I absolutely love the portraits that you get at Sears.  I get them back fast and they actually take my suggestions on poses.  I can get professional photos for about the cost it is for me to take them myself and to have them processed! And I do not mind going back often to have them taken because...

Horrible!

Our appointment was scheduled for 4 pm and when we got there we waited 15 minutes which was not a big deal.  Then they closed at 5 pm so was rushed through pictures and they were terrible quality.  Some of the pictures our eyes were closed, and some we were not all looking straight ahead, hair was...

Never Again even for free

What a bad experience. We showed up 5 minutes early and were told it would be another 10 minutes. Then, another 15. Well it ended up being over 60 minutes later before the photographer said we could start getting ready. This was not a pleasant start to our family photo with my wife and 4 year old daughter.

We came in for the promotional offer of a free portrait. Well, the wait was only the beginning. The photograper was very friendly at first, but as soon as my daughter made a nervous, silly face the photographer became very cross. She used a tone normally reserved for very angry annoyed parents....

The photographer that took my daughter's one year birthday pictures was really nice, but the pictures weren't that great. Maybe because she was the only one working on a Saturday! The real problem came when my pictures were not put online until almost two weeks after the photo session; I had to email them 3 times to finally get it done. Sears does not have a direct email which is a problem for people who can't call during their customer service hours. You have to fil out am email form online and then when they respond to you (like 3 days later), you can't email back. So, if there is something...

My husband and I got our engagement pictures taken at Sears Portrait studio in Lynnwood, WA and they turned out great so when we needed to get our son's 1 yr photos done, we decided to go back to Sears at the RI Mall (we moved 3 yrs ago).  The photographer seemed uncomfortable around my son and had no suggestions on poses.  I had to suggest things to put in the pictures..  Luckily there were a few good poses and I was able to salvage the shoot.  We decided to give them a second chance and got our holiday photos done.  I don' think ANY of the photos turned out well and the photographer (different...

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO SEARS PORTRAIT STUDIO. I had my engagement photos taken there. The customer service is TERRIBLE and the pictures came out AWFUL. We had a 2pm appointment and when we got there (on time) we were ignored for two and a half hours until someone popped her head out a door and told us that she would be with us in just a minute (normally we would have just left after being ignored for so long, but someone had given us a gift certificate as an engagement present and it was going to expire the next day). An hour and a half later, my very grumpy Fiance and I were...

Rip off!

They intentionally rip you off.  The photos in the studio cost you twice as much as they do online.  I just spent $98 on 5 (at $19.99 each, with one being a collage and more expensive) sheets of pictures with a 20% coupon.  When I got home and went online to look at my album and share with my family the sheets are only $9.99.  Why would you do that!  Then I spent $5 for a Super Saver Card that gives me "buy one item, get duplicate item free"......OF COURSE....because I can order online for half the price.  Very deceiving and I will not return.  I would rather pay a sitting fee than be mislead...

I had my first encounter with the Appleton, WI. Sears Portraits/Studio yesterday. They were referred to me by a friend/coworker. I made an appt prior to coming in. The session was for my 2 year old daughter. Anyone who has children, know that two years old can be a very tricky age in regards to photography/anything for that matter. To begin with, I was "forgotten" about. My appt was to be at 10:30 a.m. From the beginning, I was told by the front desk personnel that the photographers were running on time so the wait wouldn't be long (I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appt.) 11:30, still...

Efficiency is an issue.

Three times, I have scheduled appointments at the portrait studio in Shelby, NC.  Three times, I have had to wait -- up to an hour -- to have the portraits taken.  My granddaughter -- who was fifteen months old the first time and twenty-nine months old the last -- was cranky and out-of-sorts by the time the portraits were taken.  After the portraits were taken, we had to wait to see what the portraits looked like and choose what we wanted to buy -- not an easy task when a toddler is crying, struggling, and being otherwise uncooperative.  I would be more than happy to view the portraits on line...

My session went so well.  I went to the Sears Portrait Studio at the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill, PA.  And my experience was amazing!  My photographer, Sarah, even bought my 2 year old daughter some donuts so that she would be on her best behavior and take nice pictures.  It really showed how dedicated she is to making our visit there as pleasant as possible.

too pricey avoid

Hi I just wanted to comment on the service and price of the pictures i recently took, the service at maplewood was ok, but it took 2 hour to take pictures and everything because (coren) the per taking the photos was taking more than 6 shots. Now to think about it that was her trick to up the price more, when we were finished she gave us thre options and they were all not in my price range. We ended up paying 284 for 16 photos a collage and fine art (which i heard her day was included in the package). But later to find out they weren't and it was extra charge. I extremely disappointed and feel ripped...

Our son turned one so we went to the Sears Studio in Janesville, WI for our photos.  I called in advance to get all the information I needed before we came in for our appointment.  They explained everything in full detail to help me understand what they offered.   Our appointment was on May 16, 2010 and our photographer was Ashley.  She did a great job in capturing our son and family in the moment.   Although our little guy started to get fussy midway through the shoot Ashley managed to keep shooting and got some great photos.   They only complaint we would have is on Sundays they only...

My husband and I went looking for a place for our family to take our family portraits. We stepped into Sears Studio Portraits. I had never taken pictures with Sears before. We didn't have an appointment but we were all dressed up and ready. I was hoping they would accept us. And they did in spite of their busy day! There were only two young employees and one hadn't taken lunch and it was 4:00 P.M. It was the day before St. Valentines day. But, she said we will squeeze you in if our 4:30 appointment don't show up. So we were glad to stay and wait. In a few minutes only, she took us in and even...

The only problem I have with the modern studios is that they use low grade SLR cameras.  I can take my own photo's with a $1200 camera.  How about doing something that I can't do.  I can put a box under a sheet, hang a sheet up and tell people to smile.  I expect supreme quality, that just isn't there anymore.

The Sears Portrait Studio in Philadelphia off of the Roosevelt Blvd. is great, the service, photographers, the overall experience was great. Can't wait to take more family pics.
