Today 02.23.2011 I have found that Sears charged my credit card on February,16. I never authorized either plan to purchase item Sears ShipVantage $83.74). As a matter of fact I actually don't know what is this. I open my sears account and tried to canceled this order. I pushed on baton "Start return or exchange", but instead it conformed the placing an order and I immediately I received E-mail from Sears - "Your Sears Order Confirmation".
I have tried to resolve this issue with their customer support but they referred me to the my credit card bank for a charge dispute.
I have found on internet...
Great program to save shipping cost and why not try for a month. Easy to cancel with Sears chat. Fee is high if you don't cancel but just keep track of days, use Sears for other orders and calculate shipping savings.
I am incredibly disappointed and angry. I canceled ShipVantage halfway through the trial period. I called the indicated number and spoke with a representative who supposedly canceled the service. Now I have been enrolled and charged $79.
This seems to be nothing more than a scam. I have never even received a single item, with my sole order being canceled by Sears/Kmart. If this charge is not reversed, I will never shop at either store again.
Sears used to stand for integrity and trustworthiness. What happened?
I was shopping for a few odds and ends for an upcoming project, and since I've had good experience with Craftsman tools, decided to try Shipvantage to get my order, despite living near a store. This was a huge error. In stark contrast to some other shipping promotion programs (e.g. ******, which ships the same day of order 90+% of the time and has free 2-day) Sears took 3 days to say that the item was 'shipped' despite all items being confirmed as in stock, the tracking number didn't register as having been shipped by UPS until 5 days after that, and delivery took an additional 4 business, 6 calendar...
read full review »I wish I had read these reviews before signing up for the 30 day Shipvantage trial. I am now stuck in customer service hell and will likely be left with no recourse other than to work with my credit card company.
First off, Shipvantage never discounted my shipping cost, so I never even ending up using it once. So I used the Live Chat to contact customer service THAT VERY DAY (7/16) to cancel my Shipvantage trial. 3 weeks later (8/6), I got an email indicating that my trial will expire in 15 days. Big sigh.
Phone support was no more helpful. They indicated that they could see my request...

They agreed I was timely said they would cancel with no charge. Credit Card charged on 6/11/10. Contacted customer service. They agreed it was an error. Notes on file. Credit to be applied in 5 business days. It is now July 16, 2010. No credit received. Contacted customer service. They agreed I should have received a credit. Notes in file. Credit to be received in 5 days.
Not waiting anymore. Contacting BBB and Credit Card Company to report...
read full review »I went ahead and tried the ShipVantage free trial since I didn't feel like paying for shipping given the item I wanted is sold in my store, just not in my size. I read the reviews about how hard it is to cancel, credit cards being charged--unfortunately, this was after I had already signed up. Unlike some, I received my items very quickly. My issue came, like so many, when it came time to cancel. I have emailed twice, online chatted twice and am currently on a long hold period with a live worker (and now I have had to call back because my "helper" never came back on the line and now they are...
