“Customer Service needs to be the focus”
I went to the store to buy a digital camera. I stood and waited for a sales clerk to enter the area. When the sales clerk actually did enter the area, he seemed to be pre-occupied doing some menial task and not to coming to assist me.
When I was trying to look at the cameras, there were many that were not function - due to no power or no batteries. one camera I was looking at was broke - there was no offer to show me one that wasn't and that would actually work.
I asked about the price difference for the memory cards that were required for different models/brands. I was given very general information as in "Sony is much more expensive than the panasonic". I had to ask "how much more expensive, like what are the prices". So I was given more information without the clerk checking the prices like "Sony's around $40 and Panasonics are around $20".
After choosing the camera I wanted to purchase I was told they did not have any in stock. So I chose another camera. Then I needed the memory cards and was called to a display case to choose the card - for what reason, I have no idea because there was only one card that would work with the camera in stock.
NOTE: The reviewer indicated that they are an employee of Sears - West Dundee, IL.
