“Most Unpleasant Experience in my life”
I ordered a GE Spacemaker Microwave on Sunday December 20th and chose an install date which was showing available on Wed, Dec 23rd. I even called customer service to make sure the date showing was correct. When they said that install date was available I placed my order and selected that date. I received my confirmation the next morning and it said install date of January 12th, 2010. I couldn't wait 3 weeks so I called and cancelled less than 12 hours after ordering. I cancelled the order on Monday December 21 because they could not honor the stated install date. Sears said they would credit my card within 3-5 business days. I called to check on credit 3 times, on December 26th, December 28th and December 30th. Each time they said the cancellation was processing and credit was pending. Spoke to Sears customer service on December 30th and they verified that the order was cancelled and a credit was still processing. Spoke to Sears customer service again a 4th time on January 2nd and the agent said a credit had been issued and it should be showing on my card. They instructed me to call my credit card company and check with them. I called my credit card company (and looked online) and no credit had been issued. I called again a 5th time and spoke to Patty, Agent #495426 at 5:20pm Monday, January 4th, 2010 and incredibly she said the order was never cancelled and was still active and scheduled for install. I coud not believe this level of incompetence and the extreme waste of my time dealing with this isue. At this point I had already bought and installed a microwave two weeks prior. Agent Patty is just now cancelling the order (supposedly) and says we should recieve a credit by the 8th of January. Yeah right....I'll believe that when I see it. I'll likely have to do a chargeback with Mastercard to get these losers to refund my $600.33. Personally, I think they have a company policy to hold onto it so they can let it run through a monthly cycle and collect interest off of my money. Why else would 5-6 people deceive me and tell me my order is cancelled and a credit is pending only to find out 3 weeks later it has never been cancelled. Unbelievable! Sears has lost a long time customer over this one! Avoid Sears.com at all costs. Their customer service will cause you to search for a gun to put at your head!!
