Most HelpfulI've always loved shopping at Sears. However, I find myself getting very frustrated using their online shopping site. Downloading items seems to take longer and longer [even with a new computer!], to the point that I find myself going to other online stores to find similar items.
I'll always swear by...

Most HelpfulAs an home appliance manager, I access this website on numerous occasions daily. Unfortunately, the new Sears.com format is horrible compared to the older version. The website is much slower than it used to be and can be difficult to navigate. I liked the older version that made finding a product...
review »Does Sears know it is 2008? Their online system won't accept my home address as a valid location for delivery. Okay, so I call for help to complete my order. I'm told they can't help me because they don't accept major credit cards for payment over the phone. When I ask why they say they are concered about fraud issues with major credit cards. Hmmm. Seems you can only use a Sears card over the phone. I guess they are fraud-proof. How convenient for them. So I end up ordering online with my Mastercard and setting up delivery to a third party location. The delivery date comes...
review »This new Sears.com is horrible. It's slow and when you search for an item number you never seem to get the item you want but 30 other products in the store. I use to work for Sears and having to browse the site to help customers was a nightmare. Also when you try and print out product info for the customer you'll get like 10 pages of useless **** instead of just the product info and specs like you use to get before. It's been said before and I'll say it here IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DONT FIX IT!!!!! Why do companies think making some snazzy new website will generate business? It's not gonna...
review »This web site is always very slow and gets hung up often. I was shopping for a particular item and found it here but when the web site was showing so much trouble, I opened another browser and tried another site while sears.com was still clocking. In the time it took sears.com to go from the main page to the item and to the description screen, I had already found the product on HSN.com, reviewed it and ordered it. Sorry Sears, but the web site just cost you my $150 purchase. Now imagine myself times the thousands of customers you have shopping online everyday. This loss will definitely catch up...
review »In early ApriI placed two online orders with Sears. The first one was successful, but the second one was a disaster and has caused me to vow NEVER to use the onling shopping site again! I ordered two casual tops, a pair of crop pants and a shirt/skirt outfit. I received the two tops! Instead of the crop pants, I got a pair of jeans. Only the shirt came from the 2-piece outfit.
At first I just called and explained the problems. I was told they would send UPS to pick up the incorrect order (the jeans instead of the crop pants), the skirt was being shipped and the crop pants would be shipped. ...
review »I've purchased from Sears.com five times and has issues with my orders 80% of the time. In all cases they show inventorey and I get an email confirmation only to find that the item(s) was out of stock at the warehouse and /or at the store. Shipping at Sear.com is one of the highest priced services I ever encountered, they wanted to charge me $65 to ship a small aluminum patio table selling for $29 and weighting less than 8ibs! Sister company, KMart.com is no better and now I see the relationship (that is a whole other stiry for a later time).
Sears.com's store inventory is not accurate and have...
review »Quality matters. My grandfather is 89 years old, and he can no longer see well. He gave me his craftsman scroll saw, router, and drill. Guess what? They all work perfectly. In fact, they work so well that I have chosen to use some of them over their new counter-parts.
I did recently buy a new 19.2 volt small circular saw. I let my brother use it to build another building on his property. He liked it enough that he bought a circular saw for himself, a dewalt. Low and behold, the craftsman was better than the dewalt.
Having entered sears in the enterance I'm not used to coming in, I found myself...
review »It is hard enough to order items on-line, as incredibly they don't allow back-orders for items that are out of stock. But when you finally manage to place an order, and pay for it, AND schedule delivery, don't count on ever seeing your item(s)! Oh no, their crummy drivers may simply never show up! And then the computer may call you and CANCEL your order for the item you've PAID for, and not allow you to order it again because it is suddenly out of stock again!!!
I can hardly express how exasperated I am with these jokers. I won't even start on the problems with their credit division; nothing like...
review »When I am beginning any shopping expedition, my first question to myself is "Can I find the item at Sears?" I always check for availability, price and quality at Sears before I go any where else. My reasons are a little philanthropic. I guess that that is okay.
I love the hiring practices of our Sears store in Burlington, Vermont. I love the fact that when I watch "Extreme Makeover" Sears donates an immense amount of merchandise to families. I like the idea of supporting a company that supports our own communities.
I am able to find items, from select clothing, appliances and tools,...
