Hello! I work for Select Comfort and want to extend our apologies for the difficulty you've had with your bed. I want to assure you that all of the issues you describe can be addressed. Air loss on a the bed is a rare occurrence that can be easily fixed through a simple in-home troubleshooting procedure. Although mold growth is rare, it can happen in any mattress or upholstered product under the right circumstances. Select Comfort has been an industry leader in addressing mold, and employing the latest available technology. All key components of the Sleep Number bed – including foam, air chambers and fabrics – are treated with a proprietary antimicrobial agent to deter the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria. . In 2005, despite our low rate of reported mold growth, we further enhanced this antimicrobial treatment with the help of new technology. According to our data, Select Comfort has zero confirmed cases of mold in Sleep Number beds sold after the antimicrobial reformulation in 2005. Any customer who reports mold gets the new chambers, which have been treated to prevent mold, free of charge.
I recommend you contact Customer Service at 1-800-472-7185 and we'll be glad to offer assistance with your Sleep Number bed.
