The Shark is convenient for small pickups but doesn't do such a good job for a larger area. Works well on bare floors. It picks up pet hair from carpeting, but not all, so if you have a dog or cat, don't substitute this for your large vacuum cleaner.

I purchased a Shark 14.4 cordless on a gift certificate. The capacity is very small but it worked well at first for quick pickup of small quantities. After a year or so the batteries started wearing down very quickly. At a couple of years they wouldn't hold much of a charge at all. Replacement batteries are about the cost of a new unit. I'll be tossing it on Monday.
I have bad back problems, and am unable to use the big vac.
My daughter does the housework for me. But we have a dog and three cats, and I can't stand to see the cat hair on the carpet, so, my daughter in law told me about the shark, and picked one up for me. Well, I fell in love with it! It is so light and so powerful!It does such a good job, I have been very pleased. You will really be surprised how long it will hold a charge too. I have recommended the shark to everyone I have spoken with. I don't think you will be disappointed.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! I clean houses and have a home salon. The last thing I want to do is break out my Electrolux canister for nightly crumb pickup or to clean up a trim. It does get jammed up if you try to pick up a whole hair cut but thats not what it was intended for. Don't get me wrong, I love my Electrolux for weekly cleaning but I love this little bugger for daily stuff.
For such a tiny unit, I've never seen such a great performer. This one has performed for me in places I'd only think that a full vacuum would get to. This Shark Vacuum has been great and I would recommend it to anyone as the first choice in a light-weight, yet surprising style of vacuum. Thanks Shark for making my rooms look great and getting carpet fuzz off like a breeze.
I have used the Shark for the last couple years, and found it to be just what I needed. When my husband would track things in from the farm on to the carpet after the Shark would clean it up with a breaze. I found the vacum perfect for the job. I believe the shark is design to pick up messes that would be a headache to pull out the big canister vacum everytime. I like this so much I bought my mom Shark too.
Disappointment is the best word I could think of to describe this item. After less than one month of use, the item just stopped working.

Great for quick pick-ups and rivals my clunky vacuum. Have to refer to directions for proper use occasionally. No way to tell when it is completely charged except by time plugged in. Performance actually exceeds technology. Overall, a great tool.
I have had a cordless shark vav for quite a while now and had a problem when the battery would no longer tale a charge. I could not find anywhere to get one so I waited until another good sale came along, and I bought two of theem so I would always have one available. I really love my little Shark.
Where can I get a new battery pack when these no longeer will charge?
Yes I bought the cordless shark and I just love its. I would recomend it to anyone
