I needed to buy a reasonably priced microwave that looked nice in our kitchen and could primarily cook popcorn and reheat meals. Unfortunately, this microwave can't even cook popcorn using the popcorn button. I would not recommend purchasing this microwave....

I would definately recommend this one. It look great in our kitchen and really does a good job. The defrost function works perfectly too. I gave it four stars because i will only give five stars to the one that actually perfects the popcorn button....

My last Sharp microwave lasted 7 years. This one lasted 1.25. Of course, it stopped working right after the warranty was up. One morning, it just stopped heating anything. No big explosion or any warning, it just doesn't work. It costs $40 just to have someone look at it with no guarantee of repair. Only thing it's good for now is recycling. Sharp products are just crap these days!

Overall, it is noisy and the "stainless steel" surface which is brushed-on thin scratches very easily. It looked nice, but what disappointing experience!

The Sharp microwave is the perfect size for our limited counterspace. The stainless steel matches our other appliances and looks great. It heats everything a lot faster than our old microwave, which was also made by Sharp, in 1999! I hope this one lasts as long. We were looking for another Sharp Carousel microwave, and were happy to find it at Sears. The price is great, especially for the stainless option....

It replaced a Panasonic that only lasted five years. The Sharp we had previously was still working when we had to replace it because of space. We are well satisfied with current purchase. Hope it lasts as long as original original Sharp....

We found this microwave on sale at our local Sears store. We wanted a stainless steel or stainless steel look without giving up certain things from our previous microwave, like the turntable or options, but didn't want to spend a fortune either. We found it with this one, and got even more options including a larger size and a good brand. Our total price was $105, which I thought was a great value. It works great and looks good!

Overall I am very pleased with the microwave. It heats great and the functions are wonderful and easy to use. I did however think that the door could have been a little more sturdy, it seems very lite and loud when you shut it.

A New Start

We just moved in to our new apartment 3 weeks ago. We couldn't buy everything we need all at thesame time so we need to concentrate first at the basics like kitchen stuff. We shopped around and found couple of microwaves at different stores but it's not what we were looking for. Finally found one at Sears. It's a Sharp Carousel 1cft. 1100w microwave oven that falls on our checklist which are 1.reasonable prize (coz we're tight on our budget) 2.stainless steel(it matches the other stuff in the kitchen) 3.powerful(for cooking rice,etc) 4.easy to use(coz we have a 9year old daughter).

Just like other microwave oven, you can do manual operation or automatic by pressing the desired pad. But aside from that, it has special features like Multiple Sequence Cooking-you can program 3 automatic cooking sequences switching from one power level to another, Timer-yes,you can use it as a timer, Minute Plus-allows you to cook for a minute at 100%, More or Less Time Adjustment,...

We use this in our Camper for road trips, it works great! All you need to clean it is mild soap and warm water. It's not too big but is still sleek and stylish. Burritos or those frozen dinners for on the go evenings would never work without this oven.

Touch pad has nice feel. I especially like the "minute plus" feature. Glass plate nestles in a depression in the floor of the oven; easy to replace after cleaning. Note that the front window is not made of glass; it "gives" when I exert pressure to clean it, Time will tell whether this will affect the microwave's lifespan....
