This microwave has a lot of nice features and does a really good job for a while. After 6 months of use, it decided to die one morning. While cooking a biscuit, sparks went flying. The inside of the microwave was glowing orange. It was a good thing we were paying attention. Our previous microwave was a Sharp as well, and it caught our baked potatoes on fire because it did not shut off. I do not think I will by a Sharp microwave again. From our experience, they are a fire hazard and I just don't want to take that risk.
My last microwave lasted 16 years of hard labor with 2 kids growing up. I bought this one to replace it and it lasted just over 3 years. I went to see what it would cost to repair the interlock switch that needed to be replaced and they wanted $70 to repair it. Couldn't justify the cost. Threw it in the trash! Its GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT !!
I bought the same model about 20 years ago. I used it almost every day and then it quit. Well, I never knew how much I used it until it was gone. I bought this one about 2 weeks ago and it is pretty much the same, but with a few extras. It works better than the old one.
Have had it about a month. Hubby loves it, I'll adapt to the sequence of codes eventually. On the old one you could add 30 seconds with one touch and turn on high for 1-5 minutes with a single touch. This one is much more powerful and adding a minute at a time is just too much. Satisfied with the purchase so far and Sears.com is a great way to shop!
I was a bit worried about buying this after seeing the reviews but it works great and I have never had a problem. Heats things up super fast. I did have to change the time when I cook tv dinner but thats because other wise it over cooks it.
I bought this microwave to replace the same brand which finally died on me after 10 years of hard labor in my kitchen. I was very happy/satisfied with the brand and use of old one which served me well. Unfortunately, the new one burnt up when setting it to melt butter on the second day I owned it... Very disappointed in this one.
This is my second Sharp Microwave in the past ten years and it is the absolute best. It does everything it should in a good time and lasts for years. I would recommend it to all my friends who are shopping for a microwave and also suggest they go to Sears for the best customer service. The ability to order a product on line and pick it up in the store is so time saving. Thank you for the wonderful service.

My parents bought this microwave back in 1993, and it's still going with absolutely no problems! It's still as strong as when it came out of the box. It is extra sturdy, and has been through six moves. If you're tired of buying a new microwave every two years, get this one! It will last you forever! :)
My husband and I bought this microwave a few years ago. We had already been through a few different microwaves and wanted to get something that would last us awhile. This one is great. The defrost feature is my favorite. It actually defrosts the food without cooking it. Plus the food warming feature works perfect for heating up that leftover plate of food.
This micorwave is highly suggested for anyone who wants a good product that is going to last!
This microwave was an exchange for the Kenmore 63259 which was defective out of the box (would not heat up). No problems so far. Looks great, roomy inside. Food heats up really fast!! Nice features. The Night Light is great.
i've had this microwave for several years now. it has been very dependable. it cooks evenly. it is a little small, but adequate for my use. my only complaint is that the clock and timer display went out after about 3 months and never came back on. i still use it, though.
Excellent microwave. Easy to use. Quick and even cooking, no hot spots with still frozen spots. Preprogramed temps and times seem to be accurate also.
