The heating core in my oven has burnt up. there was no real fire just the core melted. Can I just pull it out and replace it? also I can not find any place visible on the oven with a model number is there a way to figure that out without pulling the entire unit out of the counter?

If you open up the oven's door, the data plate, containing the long model number, is often displayed inside the front edge of the oven.
