I've used this mower one time so far. My first impression is that it's a good, solid, sturdy mower with pretty good quality construction. I loved using it! It was fun! It has excellent power and is quieter than mowers I've used in the past. It's somewhat of a big mower. You'll need two people to lift it. The engine has a good, smooth sound to it. It starts very easily, with just one pull. The self propelled feature works easily and very well. This thing can move slow, medium, or fast enough to make you run, depending on how much you squeeze the handle. So that works great and it makes mowing the lawn much easier, more fun, and less of an exertion. The one feature I don't like is that you can't back it up easily, because the rubber flap in the back gets under the mower. So you have to lift up the back end of the mower and pull it back. I think it would be good if the flap in the back were made of hard plastic instead of soft plastic and if there were a cord attached to it so that you could easily flip it up when you need to back up the mower. There was only one little problem with the mower's manufacture. One of the quick release knobs was not perfectly aligned with the holes in the metal plate that lets you adjust the handle angle. Therefore it was very hard to stick it in a hole. Because of this someone had broken off part of the plastic knob and returned it to Sears (the knob still works but it doesn't look good). So when I saw this brand new mower for $234 instead of $360, I decided to buy it. I got a higher class of mower for my budget. I can easily buy a new knob for a few bucks to replace the broken one and I can use my rotary tool to grind away part of the hole in the plate so that it fits much better. I'm happy I got such a great deal! :) Overall I love this mower. It's the best one I have had so far. It seems real solid and sturdily built. The engine seems like a real quality engine. I think with good care I can keep using this mower for a long time. We ruined our Craftsman mower with lack of proper care and were unable to fix it. I won't make that mistake again. I like this Snapper mower better than the Craftsman. I have a feeling that Snapper is probably a better brand than Craftsman.
