First let me start by saying I bought a Snapper because my father recommended it. He mows his lawn twice a week and has had 2 Snappers in 15+ years. He said the only reason he sold his first was because he was tired of it. He has now had his second for over 7 years. It's obviously not this model but a good testament to the quality of Snapper. Now for my review. I picked up my mower and while starting to unpack it, noticed oil on the deck and cardboard. Then noticed one of the handle fasteners was cracked. Back to Sears. They immediately replaced it. Unpacked the second mower. One screw and bolt on the bottom of the box. Extras? I could have spent all day trying to figure out where they went. By this time, I was in no mood for it so I filled the oil, placed the gas saver and filled the gas tank. Gave the pull starter a less than half hearted tug and it start right up (I want to save the key start for my wife in case she needs to cut the grass). I was impressed. Mower ran great. Grass catcher has some grass leaking out but enough to complain about. Nudged one of my trees and the front bumper shifted. I figured out where the extra screw went. Still haven't figured out where the bolt goes. All in all, the mower worked like a champ. Cut the grass well and the bagger worked fine. The only design flaw I see is the textured plastic grip. I didn't even finish my front yard and had blisters on the webbing of my thumbs. Padding or a smooth handle may have been a better design. I'll probably get gloves before cutting the lawn again. They'll also help reduce vibration on my Ryobi trimmer.
