After returning two defective Husqvarnas this season, I decided to try the Snapper instead and boy did I make the right decision. Although the Husqvarna had the more powerful B&S engine, you wouldn't know it as the Snapper has got to be the fastest mower I've ever used- it actually sped up my mowing time considerably. Squeezing the variable speed lever makes it take off like a shot. It's quite nimble despite being 114 pounds and it feels very substantial (not delicate with plastic parts like many of the Craftsmans). The single lever height adjuster, a must for mowers in my opinion, will never adjust itself while you're mowing (unlike on the Husqvarna) as it is literally locked in place. Features such as key start and auto choke/prime make me not miss a mower with the very breakable brake-blade-clutch, since this is so easy to restart if you stop mowing. The mowing experience is phenomenal, as it powered through even long and wet grass very ably and mulched brilliantly- not leaving a trace of grass clippings behind. What's more, the mower looks nice and is easy to clean up afterwards. I would bet this is the best mower available at Sears and likely one of the best on the market. A bargain at only $379, although Sears often runs coupons up to $25 off to make it an even better deal.
