“Great Mower!”
Snapper 675 Series 190cc 21" Briggs & Stratton 3-In-1 Rear Bag Key Start Rear Wheel Drive Lawn Mower —
Bought this mower after the transmission on my 4 year old Toro gave out. Learned it would cost $230 to fix, so decided to put the Toro behind me. I first went w/ a Husqvarna front wheel drive; the one w/ the Honda engine. Found that the front wheel drive slipped a lot, and also found the design of the safety bar for the engine cut-out to be very poor, in that it dug into the palm of your right hand when engaging the front wheel drive. So, I returned that and got the Snapper. This machine is great. It has excellent build quality. Much heavier than my old Toro, with a good sturdy deck and tubular steel handles. Very convenient handle fold down mechanism. The B&S motor started on the very first pull out of the box. I really don't think Honda has anything over B&S. I like a fast mower, and this thing is quick! With the rear wheel drive fully engaged, you need to hustle to keep up. I mulch, and the provided mulching "plug" is very innovative and well designed. It's a bit odd looking, but it is easy to put in and to take out, and most importantly, it works great. Grass clippings were finely chopped, and it left my lawn looking first rate. One complaint is that the Mower is a bit back heavy. I did a few passes w/ the bag, just to check out the bagging performance, and when the bag fills the mower tends to kick up its front wheels; especially when you engage the rear wheel drive. The problem is most pronounced on those starts, but on the whole it's not too bad. I would also like to see a underside deck wash valve. It's a bit awkward to clean the deck without one. These complaints are minor, though. On the whole, I am totally satisfied and would recommend this mower to anyone.Snapper 675 Series 190cc 21" Briggs & Stratton 3-In-1 Rear Bag Key Start Rear Wheel Drive Lawn Mower
