Love Love Love it! Just took it out for the first time today. So easy to use that I had fun mowing! I have a 1/5 acre lot and my first mow of the season I had to empty the bag 9 or 10 times. So, yes, the bag is small, but I'm still VERY happy with my purchase! Also, there's a battery hooked up to the electric ignition and they recommend a 48 hour charge before use, just fyi.

we just purchased our 1st house & it has a large lawn. We were looking everywhere for a reliable lawnmower that does not cost an arm & a leg. Found this on sears.com with great reviews. Used it for over 6 months now, no issues apart from regular maintenance type stuff.

We recently purchased a John Deere self-propelled lawnmower which we kept all of two days before returning it for a refund. We then decided to try a Snapper self-propelled lawnmower with a keystart. This lawnmower was very easy to guide and turn. It was a cinch to empty the bagger, which held a surprisingly large amount of clippings. The mowing was finished in half the time that it usually took us with our old mower. It is easy to back up and doesn't lock like the first mower we tried.

We are very satisfied with our new purchase and would highly recommend this lawnmower to anyone who is in the market for a good, easy to use lawnmower.

I purchased this machine to replace our old mower that was 20 years old. This Snapper mower looked great on the Sears display and seemed to have all the features necessary, I've always associated the Snapper brand with quality but that has certainly changed. This lawnmower is built to be cheap, and it shows. It blows grass all over the mower and operator which means you need to clean the top of the engine off every time you need to refuel it, which is often as it uses a lot of gas. The knobs on the side are easily broken as they really stick out and are made of cheap plastic. The flimsy height adjusters are a pain. This mower has 6.75 printed on the engine. When I bought it I assumed that was a HP rating but it's a TORQUE figure and this mower is easily bogged, especially using the mulching mode-really needs more power. My Snapper also has a lot of vibration, feels like a crank or main bearing is on it's way out.

This is a very negative sounding review but I expected...

Woke up to mow the lawn 2 months ago and my mower died....So i headed out and got thi one and i mst saw I am plased. I am female and I found this easy to use it moves very easly and i have a gravelly lawn (new hs that wasin forclosure, workin on getin the lawn nice) and it cut it with ease and i did not get lot of the dust blowing up like with my old mower and less rocks flew everywhere....i woudl buy this again!

We bought this mower because of its power and mulching ability, and very much because of its sturdy handle -- as we have some hills and dips in our yard and we were breaking handles on other mowers in less than a season!

This one has held up well. No signs of wear on the handle, and the handle height is adjustable for different height users. It has an excellent one-lever system for changing the mower height. Sometimes chokes a bit when mulching taller grass, but certainly not as bad as many mowers advertised as mulchers. I never use the bag, so I have no experience with that.

I actually haven't bothered with the electric start feature once the battery ran down the first time -- I guess plugging it in is a small hassle in a crowded garage... It starts very easy with the pull-start, nonetheless.

Disclaimer: First Use Comments Only. This is not a long term experience review. It's an initial impressions review. 6 months from now, I'll revisit this to see how it is holding up.

I purchased this mower after returning a Sears 48v battery powered unit which was actually painful to use it was so heavy. Right out of the box, I could adjust the handlebars up higher than the original unit. 24-48 hours to charge the battery seemed quite excessive but after an overnight charge it started within 2 seconds for first power up. Unit is shipped without oil in it but it is included. Simple to assemble - simpler than the 48v unit for sure. The self powered system was perfect. Faster than I would ever need but it got me back up my 40 degree driveway to return it to park really well. even allowed me to cut the front bank from a running start off the sidewalk. Super impressive.

To the poster who said he could not get it to self propel - see the plethora of manuals this machine...

We got this mover yesterday and we love it. We were going to buy Craftsman Model # 37436 but reading reviews were uncertain if we made a good choice (too heavy, loud, flimsy handle). We checked online what outlet stores have and found one in clearance . It was $257.95 (the battery charger was missing), we negotiated it down to $207.95. It was a great bargain. We mowed the 1' tall grass last night and it was pretty much easy. The mower starts from the first pull; cool or hot( I didn't get a chance to use a key start feature because I don't have a battery charger but I'll definitely get one), the RWD is much better than FWD (my old Craftsman mower was a FWD, so I can see the difference), it is much lighter than my old one,changing the height with a single point adjuster is just a breeze, the handle is strong, not flimsy, and has a paddling. One thing I wish to see in my new mower is a wash out connector head on the deck.

Great mower. Easy to start and use. For power, it's a tiger!

I would have liked to see a hose connection on the blade deck for cleanout, and the battery charging is a bit inconvenient; you have to disconnect the battery from the keystart wiring harness to connect the charger.

I really wanted to like this mower. The reviews looked good. But after getting it home it was not what I thought it was and I returned it. I didn't like the single height adjustment as there is an exposed rod on the side that accomplishes the raising. The key for the starter is small and thin. The rear bag is small and difficult to hook on as it is in the way of several cables I had to move. Finally the power propelled level didn't seem to do much. There was no tension on it and you had to squeeze it all the way tight before it seemed to do anything. Not much of a speed control - nothing or full? We went back to Sears and looked at a couple of other Snappers. One had better speed control tension and the other was the same as ours. I returned this one and bought a Craftsman keystart with rear drive. Works great.

We are so pleased that we bought our Snapper 675 Series 190cc 21'' Briggs & Stratton 3-In-1 Rear Bag Key Start Rear Wheel Drive Lawn Mower! It handles great that the self propelled feature makes it easy to mow over hills and valleys in our lawn. It is very easy to push, and very easy to start both with the rope pull and with the key. There is only one drawback, but it is minor. You have to push the mower forward before you can pull it backwards. All in all you won't go wrong if you buy this mower.

Used my mower four times and I have to say I'm happy with my purchase. The key start is a nice feature, but the mower is a solid piece of equipment. The grass bag holds more than my Lawnboy did and the one handle to adjust the wheels is a nice feature. I would recommend this mower to a friend.

This mower is just what all the reviews said it would be - great. I was a little hesitant t spend this much considering I will just use it as a trim mower, to reach the places my rider won't go, but I am very happy I bought it. Right out of the box , it started right up, and has every use since. It will go as fast or slow as you want to go, if you have the drive fully pulled in, you will be almost running with the mower it is so fast. You can go along mowing with one hand if you want , it is that easy.

I was so happy to be using it that I went ahead and mowed my front yard with it, instead of using my riding mower. It cuts extremely well, the deck height is very easy to adjust with the one lever adjustment. It seems to have very good traction with its real wheel drive, not even stalling out on wet grass on a hill. The engine seems very powerful and never bogs down on me, and it seems to work equally well either mulching or side discharging, I haven't used the bagger...

This mower started falling apart the 1st day I used it. The 1st event was the "glued-on" wheel hubcaps fell off. Increasingly difficult to start, soon as I was exhausted before ever even getting to the actual lawn mowing.

Who gave this mower 5 stars? Does Snapper force their Marketing department onto the retail sites to place false ratings on their mowers?

Snapper USED to make a GREAT product. Sadly, this is no longer true. The mower started shaking so badly last year (In it's second short season as we live in Delaware) that it spun off the plastic knobs from the collapsible mower handles. They are still missing but the tape I used is still working. However, it shook so badly that the screws attaching the cowling on the top of the engine are also now missing.

My hands were so numb from attempting to use this mower at the beginning of this season due to the vibrations, I can no longer work with it. No, the blade is not loose.

I charged battery put gas and oil I hit the key she started before i could here the starter I ajusted the deck and she mowed like a dream ! I have athritis in both hands shoulders and most of body and the levers were easy on my hands and i had great control even mowing part of the lawn one handed !! my lawn is 3/4 of and acre with a steep hill in front it pulled me and a bag full of grass easy !
