Dependable

I have had the original version of this mower for 18 years, and it is finally ready for a replacement. This mower has been extremely dependable and the drive mechanism flawless. I have only had to replace the drive belt once. It always cuts great and the deck integrity has been excellent. This mower has always started on the first or second pull even after sitting for a winter. I've tried John Deere riding mower, but find myself opting to cut grass with my Snapper instead. The bag feature is very efficient, but mulching is not as good as the Honda or Toro.

A very good machine.

I have use this mower for 3 month, its performace is outstanding. Easy to start, powerful through high grass and very quite. The only downsides is that the handle is too long when pivoting 180 degrees in tight areas and the handle nuts do not allow mowing close to items such as fences and decks.

I have been very happy with this mower, more  so that I was with my Toro mower.

sturdy, good quality mower

I've used this mower one time so far. My first impression is that it's a good, solid, sturdy mower with pretty good quality construction. I loved using it! It was fun! It has excellent power and is quieter than mowers I've used in the past. It's somewhat of a big mower. You'll need two people to lift it. The engine has a good, smooth sound to it. It starts very easily, with just one pull. The self propelled feature works easily and very well. This thing can move slow, medium, or fast enough to make you run, depending on how much you squeeze the handle. So that works great and it makes mowing the... read full review »

I'm very impressed and pleased with this Snapper 190 cc 21" 3-in-1 Deck Rear Bag Mower. It's solidly constructed and well-engineered, much more so than comparable Craftsman models I examined at the store. Assembly out of the box is just a matter of tightening the locking screws on the handlebars, adding oil to the crankcase, filling the tank with gas, and pulling the starting cord. It has many convenience features like a single adjustable deck height lever, a powerful, self-priming Briggs & Stratton engine with auto choke and throttle controls, and a variable speed, rear-wheel drive transmission,... read full review »

A MUST Buy!!

I have had my Snapper for two months now. It is definitely all power. My mowing time has been cut from an hour for four yards down to 40 minutes. The speed is easily variable. Full throttle will make you jog; and the ball bearing wheels make it easy to use even it as a push mower. The only real complaint I have is that the speed is set too high at the factory, and is not adjustable. I guess this complies with the California CARB regulations. But when the warranty runs out, I'll adjust it down...less gas waste and pollution. The Toros and Troy-Builts I looked at where no-where as well built. I really... read full review »

Joging might be Required

I picked up my snapper a about two weeks ago and 12 lawns later I'm writing my review. This mower is deffinatly worth every penny I paid the speed is awsome even though on one yard it didn't cut very smooth at that speed I had to go over it twice but it also was wet and about 10" tall and thick from multching with the tractor for the last two months I lost count on how many times I had to empty the bag off that yard but for the most part most average size yard I only dump the bag 2 wice once for the front and once for the back. I wish it had a slightly bigger motor and a bigger bag but that's because... read full review »
