“sony vs nikon”
Sony - 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit, Alpha —
On one hand I believe I should have bought the Nikon D40 I was looking at, (cheaper, simpler, and less bells and whistles) but on the other hand this camera is by far the most amazing dslr for its price. Its anti-dust feature alone makes the camera worth buying. No more problems with dust on the sensor while changing lenses, nothing to worry about?! .... WOW ... It has already saved so many of my pictures from potential ruin since i'm constantly changing lenses. I plan on going back to college for photography so in the end this will be a fantastic entry level dslr for me..... However if your not planning on getting seriously into photography I'd strongly suggest buying the nikon d40 ... the lenses are affordable, as the A100's lenses will cost you a fortune...... the nikon is easy to get used to and simple to use, as is the A100, except that it has so many more extra features to learn about... If you find you need all the lenses, the extra features, but you want to save some money on lenses i'd actually forget about both of these and go with the camera with the best from both worlds, .... the Olympus E-500. If I had to choose again I'd still buy the A100, even though most of the the lenses cost more than the camera alone.
