This DVD player has great upscaling for the price. I picked this one up until I could get a more expensive player but this one is just as good as the Harmon Kardon DVD38 that just quit on me. I was surprised at the quality of the picture and audio on this Sony so I am keeping this one and saving my money. This is a great deal and you won't be dissapointed.
In one sentence I'll say it all - The best money I've spent recently. Give it a try, you'll love it.
This is a great dvd with a great price. This sony dvd w/upscaling has many features and hdmi output. Dvds play near bluray quality playback. Even older movies look great. I'm sure that having a nice lcd does make a difference in playback. It might take a minute to match the movie format with best playback, but this one does it with ease. Quick launch from power on and Sony reliability.
This is awesome. I have a large collection of DVD's and a brand new HD TV. I hated how they looked on my old DVD player. I had no idea these upscalers even existed. I was considering a Blueray player when I stumbled across these. These do exactly what they claim. They take a standard dvd and improve the picture to the point that you'll think you're watching HD. I couldn't be more pleased. You will be too.
Bought this model # DVP-NS700H/B upscaling DVD player the same day I bought my Vizio 1080p flat panel, & saved over $80.00 for both !!!
