I bought this tv on sale. I heard from a friend that Sony lasts longer than most brands. I was really impressed with the fact that Sony went to the extent of making an energy efficient TV. I am all for saving money on electric bills. The Tv has a great picture. nice and clear. The sound is ok. I bought a small home theatre sound system which helps with that. It was very easy to set up. So far so good. Durability is really important to me. Only time will tell. The other really impressive thing about this TV is that even in a very bright sunroom I can see the picture perfectly. My last three TV's were very hard to see under this condition.
